I've been vaping for 2 years now. I've always mouth inhaled as I used to do with cigarettes. Since vapor is a lot easier on the lungs than cigarettes, if like to learn how to lung intale. I've watched several YouTube videos and just can not seem to do it. Does anyone have any suggestions for someone trying to learn how to lung inhale?

Put your mouth on the driptip and breathe in like your breathing normal air.

As said below a lower nic level will help if the hit is to harsh for you. Your question isnt really clear. Can you not figure out how to do it or is doing a lung inhale difficult.

I don't lung hit, mostly because of the coughing fits. But I've seen many people get good results with very low nic levels. 3mg - 6mg for lung hits with high VG juice.

You also need very good airflow. I can -sort of- get a good lung hit from a nautilus, but I feel like it's on the tight end of capability. If you are using a device with low airflow, you're not going to get a good lung hit.

I've got a great RDA for lung inhaling. It has great airflow. I use low nic juices, always have. I just for some reason can not figure out the method to lung inhaling. I've tried emptying my lungs and inhaling like I'm breathing. Not sure if the fact that I'm a smaller framed person has anything to do with it or not. I feel when the vapor hits my throat but that is all I ever feel.

The RDA with good airflow will help, also using a 'wide bore' drip tip (so that it makes it more like using a large popular recreational drug inhalation item).
The combination above makes it difficult to do anything but lung inhales.

Also doing a sort of mini exhale through the RDA before you inhale might help matters. (just a quick one)

with analog, only way i was able to do lung inhale was hold the cig between fingers, cup the .... end with other hand and breath in deeply. basically larger air flow with less resistance from the cig.

with vaping, it's lot easier. open all the air flow, and just breath in deep. it would be hard not to lung inhale. i chocked on the first time i vape with my setup due to too much air flow. had to tone it down a little so i could be mouth to lung. now i let them all open and lung inhale.

Since all nicotine from vapor is absorbed by the soft tissues in mouth and nose, can you all tell me what benefit there is to inhale vapor into the lungs?

Perhaps because I smoked ultra light cigarettes for many years I never experienced throat hit and find it irritating with vapor. I must have inhaled smoke at some time or another because my voice got deep and gravely and the last couple of years started coughing.

Once I started vaping my lungs cleared up, my voice lightened up and the cough went away. So, since vapor is not absorbed by the lungs like smoke, are the lungs merely used as "storage" for vapor? :p

Two days ago I cleaned off the windows where I use the computer all day. There was a film from vaping on them. The film is back already and possibly the cold weather has something to do with quick accumulation. Does this accumulation happen in the lungs?

As you can tell, I'm confused about the benefits of lung inhales. Would someone here "UN confuse" me?

I was also a mouth inhaler. Been vaping over 5 years now. When I finally settled on rebuildables as my all day vape, multiple changes had to take place because the amount of airflow on a lot of RDA and RBA almost makes lung hits mandatory.
Changes I made:
Dropped from 30 mg/ml nic to 4 !!!!!!
Added 10% distiller water to my DIY VG mixes
Cut flavoring from 10-15% on fruits down too 2%. Tobacco flavoring is now 2 drops in 30ml bottles lol
For sub ohm 100 watt+ cloud builds, I had to go 100% VG, no flavor no nic.

I come from the perspective of perfectly healed lungs. I smoked three packs a day, but that was a very long time ago. Lungs are sensitive, just like a non smoker now, maybe even more so. Keep this in mind when taking advice. I also vape over 15 ml a day, that also requires a lot of custom tailoring to make the vape as smooth as possible. Hope I helped

Ahh. maybe your build is the problem. I'm not a cloud chaser so I can't really be of that much help but what kind of build are you running. ohms, battery specs, build type, etc. a pic of the build would be helpful as well.
I agree here...
I had a similar problem yesterday and through trial and error and testing we were able to get it sorted out.
Can you post pictures of the build? From both the top and side? This will help a lot.

I've tried lung hits, but that does nothing for me. Mimicking the way I smoked is much better. I never did lung hits when I smoked.

I vary between mouth to lung hits and inhaling shallowly, then exhaling though the nose. I'm slowly working toward mostly inhaling just into the throat far enough to exhale through the sinuses. That seems to be the least likely to irritate the bronchials.

I've moved downward in nic from 24mg to 6mg over the last year. Flavor is better, throat hit is much lighter, and I don't miss the heavy nic.

I actually find that inhaling directly into the lungs to be much harsher than when I smoked...I cough from the vapor, but never had a problem with smoke. I have found that the easiest way for me to get the vapor into the lungs is using the french inhale. Get vapor in your mouth, slowly let it come out and inhale it back into your nose and take it into lungs....that seems to be less severe for me, and get the benefit of the great vape taste through your nose.
