I quit a little over a week ago and I'm still in the "hacking up weird stuff" stage. Lungs feeling better every day though

Ha, don't look for that to end anytime soon. I'm 4.5 months in and still coughing up lots of phlegm. I smoked 24 years though so it depends on how much stuff is in your lungs. I read that it can take 2 years or so for longtime smokers but I'm hoping it's nowhere near that long for me.

Oh, and wait til' you see what your sense of smell is like at 4.5 months lol I was in the Walgreen's pharmacy drivethru the other day and one car was in front of me. I was in my car with the windows rolled up and smelling smoke. I was like ??? where is that smoke smell coming from? A few seconds later the lady in the car in front of me flicked a cig out her window. I was thinking "wow, I have Spidey senses now" :)

I've barely coughed at all in the morning since vamping. Add that to my fingers not being yellow and my breath not being smelly, and thats two solid points of justification right there :)

I was smoking for over 30yrs PAD, but I never got yellow fingers (my dad did tho....he smoked about 2-3 PAD...does yellow fingers have something to do with the amount?)

Sounds good, I can't wait to be able to smell again, though I only smoked a PAD for about 8 years. I'm finding myself having trouble tasting my ejuices currently though and that's a bit discouraging :(

I hope my lungs feel better soon. 2-1/2 months and no change yet. Sense of smell sure returned quickly. Not necessarily a good thing IMO
Some pretty yucky smells in my world. Food tastes, um don't think that has changed much. Oh but I burp a heck of a lot more healthy sounding. In fact I don't burp, I now BELTCH lol. Maybe that's the beginning of the lung repair.

I used to get it when I let my cigs burn too low, it's stains from the tar.

I quit once in my 20's and did it for 2 years, the coughing back then started about 3 weeks into going cold turkey and lasted for about a month. It's taking a lot longer this time, probably because I'm 20 years older now.

The smell of exhaust is a lot worse

I remember my dad had the yellow fingers thing so I'd made it a point to never let the smoke wrap around my fingers. That didn't keep them from stinking though. It actually galled me to smell them but not enough to quit smoking. Nothing was good enough to make me quit smoking until I got my latest set of PVs. I can't tell everyone how many times I told my doctors that I had no interest in quitting the analogs either as I had resigned myself as a smoker until my death. I may actually live long enough to get my home mortgage paid off! :) :)
