I've got COPD. I told my Doc I was
vaping during a check up some time after I quit smoking. His comment was, so you're not smoking now, good. That was right after I told him the
insurance company had cut off my inhalers. He said, oh, that's unfortunate. I get on fine without them.
I know I'm in way better shape than I was a few years ago. I'm 67 and I sometimes climb 10 flights of stairs at work carrying a bag of tools. I don't need a doc to tell me whether to vape.
People always recommend asking the Doc. Mostly that's a good idea, but in this case I don't see a lot of point. Truth is, as someone said above, there really isn't any evidence. A doctor would be guessing as much as anyone here.
Maybe in a few years when there's been some actual research into COPD and
vaping. Since there hasn't been any yet you could go see two doctors and collect a yes and a no, and neither answer would have more value than your own opinion. In my opinion.
