Still goin :) we have some issues with Katie's addict cousin that me and her step dad may handle tonight. His dad and brother left him here and he's too drunk to drive but isn't welcome here. I'm gonna keep my cool for about 2 more seconds then I'm gonna do what someone should have done a long time ago.

Ahhhhh, finally all caught up!

Good morning everyone.

Lisa, you really made me laugh about the hoarding stuff. I'm beginning to wonder if I have some hoarding tendencies too. No, not really, but I REALLY do have some stuff I need to pack up and take to Goodwill/Salv.Army/Donation Bins. (want me to send pics...LOL) JK!!
I'm an organizer, and a neat freak, but...BUT....I'm not consistent...but, I consistently procrastinate...LOL.
I do plan to try to get some things accomplished in THAT department this weekend.

Ah Chim, I sure hope you get a day off before Thurs!!! Have a great day, I've prob. missed you!

Dave, so glad your evening ended peacefully. Nice pic too!

As for the coffee maker discussion, I had a Krupp. It ran like a CHAMP for over 10 years. It was truly a wonderful coffee maker. The new ones were NOTHING like the old ones. I went back and forth for quite awhile when I bought my last one, and I actually ended up going with the freebie from Gevalia. Ehh, it's okay. I absolutely LOVE the coffee though. I mean SERIOUSLY love it!! It's pretty much ruined me for any other coffee. But, I also drink decaf, and a good decaf is a bit hard to come by. (Caffeine makes me shaky)
I have to agree Bunn's are awesome. My mom had one, and we have one at work. Ours at work is pretty slow, it most likely needs to be cleaned. My SIL has the Keurig, she LOVES it. I've never tried it, they were just coming out when I was last shopping for my coffee pot, so I didn't even consider it. I've never heard a bad comment about one though.

Dale, I'm sure I've missed you, but have fun at the B'day party today.

Okay y'all, I'm outie, need to get moving and get something accomplished around here today. Have a wonderful day everyone!!
BBL.:)

Charm, WE MISS YOU, hope you stop by!!

Morning all!

LOL @ Lori - No pics necessary! I am sure I would be envious of something, though :p

I was up around 2AM walking Emmy and watching the college kids weave back and forth as they left the bars and made their way home. At one point I saw one of those bikes like they have in Asia. The person in the front pedals and there is a two-seater section in the back. This guy was biking people to their apartment and racing back to the bar to pick up more people LOL Anyway, I thought it was a great little enterprise :p Emmy's off to get her hair and nails done right now and she's eating a bit, so I am hoping she'll be back to normal soon with a few more belly rubs to get her gut back in working order.

I've made refried beans with my hand blender - we'll have nachos and burritos with those =] I ADORE the hand blender! It is great for everything and is sooooooooo easy to clean! The brisket is chilling so I can slice it. Apartment is cleaned and laundry is now being done. And thanks for the idea about the low carb tortillas! I did find 2 packages of 10 carb wheat tortillas at the grocers last night! ONLY TWO LEFT! The other so-called 'low carb' tortillas were the same if not HIGHER than the regular tortillas o_O The spinach tortillas were TWICE the carbs of the regular tortillas!

I am thinking about what vegetables to make for Tommy to go with the brisket, but I am coming up with no ideas :/ I told him he could have salad on the side, but he gave me that sly look, so I'd better make something LOL Anyway, I have to think about it... planning a week's worth of meals for someone else when you are cutting carbs is not an easy task. I think in 18 years I have seen him eat ONE Caesar salad :/ He's one of those 'I like everything' people, but he won't eat it no matter what he says LOL

I hope your feeling better, Dale!!

OK, OK! I only had a minute to post this morning B4 DH thought of something I needed to do. Late to the cabin last night due to the fridge issue, just got done installing the new thermostat. Everyone keep your fingers crossed.....will know by this evening for sure. I've got several things to do around here today, so I'll likely be in & out.

OMG! Brisket and cheese is finally sliced XD I remember why I hated deli slicers... THEY SUCK!!! I am leaving it for Tommy to take apart and clean more thoroughly than I was able to... I can't remember how to take the blade off and the instruction are severely lacking.

Tommy is my ex-husband and current roommate. Long story short, I was given some news, went a little cuckoo, divorced Tommy, sold everything, quit my job, and moved to a tropical island. Got into a bad situation on said tropical island, finally figured out how I could get away, came back to the USA, and started over. I decided to forego another home outside of the city and stick to a well populated area, Tommy wanted to get closer to work as well, so we now share an apartment in the middle of the student population. He has a GF that he visits 3 hrs away every other weekend, he cleans the apartment once every 2 weeks, and I cook and do laundry. We get along well, always have, so we benefit by sharing expenses while living our own lives. I don't have to worry that he's not taking care of himself and he has the best of both worlds, a GF and an ex-wife that still cooks and does his laundry for him LOL
