Comparing Evods with pro-tanks ... I'ld say very much alike except for appearance. The flavor may be a bit more muted, at least I see a lot of people complain about that...guess they don't know anything about "boosting" their flavors? :sneaky:

Sorry you had to rebuild your battery, at least you know how :)

Personally, I thought the Evod gave my juices better flavor that's why I'm sticking with the kanger brand tanks. I like the CE-4 every once in a while for a change up. I got the CE-5 thinking they were just the upgrade to the CE-4 but wow was I mistaken. The CE-5 has a harder draw then the CE-4.

I had no idea how the batteries were built until I took it apart. It was easy to figure out after that. It's all pretty basic electronics. ;)

Uh ... I considered those CE's pretty much "throw aways" :) I know some can be rebuilt tho' :)

I'd be too scared to even at rep it Steve.

I understand. I've always been the type that will take things apart and rebuild them out of curiosity so there's "No Fear" for me. I figure it's already broken so what does it matter I might get lucky and fix it. lol It usually ends up that way just because I tried.

See..the little board. the wire solders to the small circle at the top right corner. Wish it was that easy in the end bc the circuit board is supposed to be glued to the inside of the cap where the button goes.

Oh ok. I see. You probably have more patience & steadier hands than I do too. Lol! You wouldn't want to see me fumbling around. Hehehe!!

    Good morning Lori :)
Last day before your weekend starts!
    Hope it's a smooth one ;)
    Me too!! :D
I hope I get more accomplished tomorrow than I did yesterday.

Thanks to Stormy, and AB before her, I really want to make Chic. & Dumplings this weekend. I do a cheater version, so it's not quite as involved as roll out dumplings.;)

Good morning Erised! Have a wonderful day! :)

That's great Dale! Atleast you're getting more sleep in the morning instead of throughout the day. Then you'd be up all night. :)

It's kind of odd Chim ... that sleep that I'm getting later?
It seems to be much deeper if you know what I mean?

Haze darlin' ? Where ever you are ... good morning dear heart!

Yes Dale, it does. Really a pretty good recipe! It's a morph of a couple recipes.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings Recipe - Allrecipes.com

Condensed Soup Mix Recipe - Allrecipes.com

I use a rotisserie chicken, boxed chicken broth (if needed), the condensed soup mix, and canned biscuits.
Chicken bouillon and misc. seasonings as needed, but usually not necessary.

I make the broth using the carcass, skin, and soup mix, basically just as in the recipe above, you could use the canned condensed soup, but the homemade version is just AWESOME!!!

I remove (strain) the carcass and skin when the flavor of the broth is to my liking. Then I add the shredded chicken, and start dropping the dumplings in.

For the dumplings, I use the biscuits, but I cut mine into 8 wedges, or maybe it's 4 wedges....can't remember...either will work...LOL. A leaner version of this could be made if you choose.

    We serve over mashed potatoes.......;)

:?: I've never thought about using the condensed soup mix, I bet that really does add to the mix!
I'll have to try that sometime soon ... DH does really love Chicken & Dumplin's :)
I can pretty much take it or leave it ...
I pinch & drop my biscuits instead of cutting :)

Oh, and I've never done it in a crock pot ... I'll have to check that out ;)
