I'm not always on the couch. When you're on your Kindle, just type the wub instead of using the emoticon. Just type it as it appears in the reply box after you've inserted it. When you post, it will show the little emoticon. Same for all the different ones.

Yup, it works great. That's how I do most of mine now. Just faster for me, even if I'm on the computer (laptop).

For the record, I haven't fully come to love the iPad just yet. Some things are really cool, but some things are still just easier for me to do on the laptop. It really hacks me off when I catch myself touching/tapping the screen on my laptop. DH caught me doing that last night. It was actually quite funny. He said he's caught himself doing it too.
