i don't know what he's talking about.

Remember, the discussion we were having about a persons good and bad side of their face with photography and how we feel we look different in pictures because we are used to seeing our face reversed in the mirror?

Oh man do I have some stories, was a crazy week! This one is actually pretty sweet though.

So I spent a lot of nights alone on the beach doing photography and listening to music because I really enjoyed it. I always had the beach to myself because everyone else was at the bars/clubs partying, but one night while enjoying my alone time I saw a couple walking the beach.

They stopped pretty close to me and I could see they were trying to take a picture together, poorly of course because it was late at night and they were trying to get it holding the camera at arm length. It was two men, (beautiful men by the way) and I could tell that they did not know I was there and I felt like I should leave and let them have their alone time, so I was about to do that when I heard one of them say "damn I just can't get a good shot", then I heard the other one say "I think there is someone over there, do you think he saw us?"

At this point I kinda figured that they were most likely at least partially closeted and embarrassed, and instead of leaving I decided to walk up to them, introduce myself and offer to take their picture. They were clearly a bit nervous but said they would appreciate it. I asked them if they had cell phones with a flashlight app on it, which they did. I then took a pretty incredible picture of them with the moon and ocean in the background illuminating them with their cell phone flashlights. I gave them the camera back and they looked at the picture and one of them began to cry and they both thanked me. I told them it was my pleasure and that they were a beautiful couple deserving of a beautiful picture and left. Gathered my things and let them have the beach to themselves.

Was really quite a wonderful experience.

of course that is most likely not the kind of story you were waiting for :p

And, sad to say, probably not the generous reaction they were expecting. Good on ya!

It makes me sad that we still live in a world where people can't just be who they are, openly love who they love without fear. It makes me happy that you are a mother than embraces her son for who he is, I know several parents who haven't.

I have several homosexual people that are very close and dear to me and it frustrates me that some people still cannot see past things that don't matter and realize that underneath it all each and every one of us is the same, we are all made of exactly the same stuff.

I wasn't easy at first, when he came to me 20 years ago and told me he thought he was gay, I was shattered...I grieved for all the things that I had dreamed of for him...wife and children! I knew it would be devastating for him in a small farming town in Texas that had very set ideas about this kinda of thing. They were all my dreams and my fears... not his! He is my baby boy and he is happy and so I am happy!

Successful at my first recoil! vaping some MVB "America" (freebie with my last order). I had a little trouble getting the ohm meter to work, but the coil is "supposed" to be in the 2.4 range...seems like that's about right: it read 2.3/2.5 on the meter. It hasn't exploded, anyway and I'm vaping at about 4.0V.

Edit: 5 months ago, the above paragraph would have made absolutely NO sense to me. :)
