Uhm, sound like, what? A cat? Well, maybe a short-haired variety. In my experience, only long-hairs are truly aloof.....I had a short-haired cat that I called "boomerang kitty". Couldn't get the dratted thing to leave me alone for half a second. Always up in my business....
We had the PRETTIEST solid black, long haired kitty when I was growing up. We lived out in the country, one entire side of the property was wooded. We originally tried to keep her as an indoor cat, well, she was MISERABLE kept indoors. She would BOLT the minute the door was open, and we'd have to try to catch her to get her back indoors. Since she had never been de-clawed, we finally just let her stay outside, bringing her inside during harsh weather of course. How about that silly cat basically lived in that woods. She could have CARED LESS about any sort of human contact. She was a true hunter. She and another outdoor cat we had were (of course) always fed daily, but we rarely ever saw her eat, and she was never too fat, or too thin. She would often times parade her "kills" for us, but that was about it. She would occasionally come up for a rub, but really, not too often. She was a sweet kitty, just completely independent.

When my parents sold the place, the new owners agreed to keep her, both cats actually. Thankfully, because neither would have been happy anywhere else.

Lori, maybe that's a term that's only used in my part of the world. It means to show up (like at a party), without being invited. IE, I crashed the party.
No, I knew what it meant, I just couldn't figure out how you would've crashed it.....I think we all crashed it....LOL....I think it started out as Stormy's solo party....and it's just picked up peeps all along the way....now we're all family!!! YOU INCLUDED!!!
