Okay, advance warning the following might be a little sappy ... while not intending to get all mushy or anything like that, I did want to take this opportunity to let everyone on this thread know how much I truly appreciate and care for them. You are all so sweet and kind and distinctly unique. I wuvs ya' all.
The impetus for me saying this is in large part due to the recent passing of a member here on ECF and my own prior failures at communicating my feelings towards people I loved and cared about while they were still around to hear it. I don't know if any of you knew Gioajack (Jack) well, I didn't, but I had laughed at many of his posts so I was truly saddened to hear of his passing. He was part of the Reo family here on ECF and seeing how heartbroken so many of them were, really struck a cord with me.
Jack hung out the REO lounge and someone put together a pic in tribute to him that I thought was really nice:
Life is short ... and sometimes stunningly brutal so I say it again, Thank You my friends, you have enriched my life by sharing yours with me.

It can be extremely hard for some of us to say "I Love You" guys ... but we all should ... at least once In a way it's nice on here because we come to know one another in "mind" first so if we ever could all meet for real we would all ready really love one another for who we are "inside" & not "outside'. I'm so glad you didn't chicken out.
(I'm going to just go right ahead and assume that I'm included in there because it made me feel good. )I try hard to let the people in my life know how much they mean to me. I've had to say goodbye to too many family and friends so I really try not to take things for granted. In just the last couple of years I've lost my sister, my dad and two long time friends.
The last time I spoke with my dad was on a Thanksgiving Day. My dad was not a talker, so I had to say it really fast (lol) but I told him how much I loved him and how thankful I was that he had adopted me and called me his own. He got pretty sniffly.
He passed on just a few days later. It's been a huge comfort to know that I told him those things before it was too late.So... I agree with Haze (and say it right back to him too)... you are all kind and beautiful hearted and I truly care about you and am really enjoying getting to know each of you. I love the quirky humor, too.
I often feel like I belong on the island of mis-fit toys, but you guys are always just here... and welcoming. I'm 1,000% sure Haze is safe and a good friend to have. I don't say that lightly.P.S. Haze, I'm glad I finally got brave & "friended" you

Steak sounds so good! I have no idea what to make. Maybe it'll just be a blackeyed peas and mustard greens with bread sort of night. (Sounds incredibly pitiful next to your steak. )
