Your reasons are yours Lori, whatever they are, they are what's best for you and I admire and respect you for your decisions ;) I didn't want to raise anymore kids either but my daughter got a divorce, was pregnant and of course they moved in with me...4 years ago and I'm still raising kids!!!! Ughhhhhhhhhhh
Well, I think that it's good that you're helping all of them. No, not an ideal situation, but esp for the little ones, they're prob better off there with you, and I'm sure your daughter is ever so grateful for the help!!! In a lot of other countries extended families living together are the norm, and I really think there are some very good aspects of it. But I also understand your side completely, you'd like to be done raising kids. That's totally understandable.

Yes, some of my reasons really do seem & sound silly to me now, but yes...I felt very strongly about those reasons at the time....:lol::lol:

Dale, I do remember reading that now that I read it again!! I guess I thought there was a specific reason for your hearing loss, and I guess that was what I thought I'd missed. I guess it was unexplained, your hearing loss?

^And here's another reason I chose not to reproduce. They will too when they get old enough. I know, grandbabies are wonderful, but you have to raise your own first to get any. I'm like Lori's DH - I'd never have survived the kharma......

I have to admit.......I was a bit afraid of his karma too........:lol::lol:

My SIL once told her daughter (when she was a teen) "I hope you end up with kids who treat you as bad as you treat me"........well, she did. I guess a lot of parents go through trying times with kids and teenagers......I just was afraid I'd have killed 'em......

Okay fine Dale!!! lol all these lurkers and I'm all alone now sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesssshhhhhhhhhhhhh! Man comes driving up and you go a runnin lmao, typical woman!!!!

Well gee Angel, I'm sorry about that:laugh: Man gets his feelings hurt if he doesn't get my "undivided" attention when he comes home:blink:

I get the "selfish" and in my 20's I also had financial concerns. Then, in my 30's, the old reasons had fallen by the wayside, and I just felt a bit "old' to start then, now......in my 40's.......fagedaboudit!!!

Nothing "selfish" about it! 20's & 30's we were VERY poor:laugh:; specially since I was a "stay at home mom". Had my daughter just before my 30th B-Day...ugh:facepalm:

Uggggh! Indeed!!! Told mine before they got out of school I wasn't raising none of their babies!!! Meant it too! I's a mean moma!

Dale, I do remember reading that now that I read it again!! I guess I thought there was a specific reason for your hearing loss, and I guess that was what I thought I'd missed. I guess it was unexplained, your hearing loss?

Correct Lori, no one knows why or what happened.

Hee hee! My daughter's all ready catchin' some of that from her SO's 10 year old daughter! Can't help myself from laughing:laugh:

And yeah, I know nobody is here:(

    Hope Haze had a great drive/ride :)

I'm back. It was a quick nap. No actual "napping" involved, waiting for my dryer to stop, and then refill it.:) But I did close my eyes and snuggle with Rita. She loves the snuggle time.

I actually never used to nap until two years ago when I started having thyroid problems. But I have found that I LIKE the naps, and have just continued.....:D.......when I can. I don't always get to......but yes, old lady syndrome.

Too funny, ya ole mean momma Dale!!

Actually, I was doing some math in my head, and I almost think the cold war was over by my early 20's....so, maybe I was just selfish then........:lol::lol:
