Hey, you mentioned that your DH is retired Navy, and he was a fighter plane/aircraft mechanic. We have a retired Navy, fighter plane/aircraft mechanic that works here. He was talking about where he had been stationed one day, the first place he was stationed outside the USA, was ICELAND. He said he was a newlywed when he joined, and as soon as he finished basic training, in I think it was Orlando, he got his orders for Iceland. I asked him what his wife thought, he said she was none to happy to have to leave FL for Iceland.....

Well heck no, I can't say that I blamed her. We met in Virginia Beach, I was visiting a friend and there he was lmao. Then we moved to Pensacola...oh but that was soooooooooo wonderful!!! Then on to Key West, Maryland, Sicily, and then Jacksonville.

Oh WOW, WONDERFUL PLACES you were stationed!!! How was Key West??? My nephew from FL would love to move to Islamorada. Key West he said, just go...get the T-shirt, get the heck outta there...LOL!!! All I know is I want to retire to FL....hubby wants CA. CA is too $$$, at least the area he likes.
Sicily would be wonderful too, really any of those places!!!

Lol @ Angel! Trust me mines is too! My dining room table is a disaster area! And usually is! No one actually dines there. But I hate dishes, my bedroom & bathroom being a mess! It drives me nuts! Plus one bathroom is all Mizzz Chloe's & the cat litter is in there! Ugggh & the laundry is overflowing! I'm tired just thinking about it!

Yeah, Key West was way too...weird for me. Your nephew was right about it lmao...get out quick. Only 4 miles long and 1 mile wide, you can see it all pretty fast...even things you DO NOT want to see lmao.
I loved Pensacola, it was wonderful. Sicily was filthy, Jacksonville was too big and Maryland was just kinda boring lmao.

I haven't been to Pensacola, but I think I would like it, I've heard that it's a little more seasonal there, I would miss the change of the seasons. My nephew also lived in Jacksonville. Because of his previous job, he's lived all over FL.

I've heard a lot of Italy is dirty...I still want to go there someday.
Back to The Keys...LOL...Did you see/go to during the week when the Tall ships are there. The ones like pirate ships?? I want to go for that someday, and I want to go to the Dry Tortugas Nat'l Park. I think that would be cool too!!! Maybe live at Boyd campground in my camper for a winter.......LOL!!! (I don't have a camper...LOL)
