Bookmarked that Chim, y'all, I have to admit that she's my first puppy I've ever had to train, we got her and she was only 6 weeks old, she was such a sweet baby, now she's a sweet toddler and I love her to pieces. I want to train her right and not scold her, I know that scolding her for these things can have a negative affect and I don't want to do that to her. I just have a mop bucket I fill each day with clorox and hot water and I go to her three spots and clean all day long. I mumble under my breath but not at her lmao.

I also need to limit her to only one pee pee pad, she's spoiled, she has three at all times. Vet said it's time to start limiting where she goes to ONE place.

Almost 2 years in & he still has 2. I tried to move to one & he kept going back to that spot & sprinkling on the floor:(

Aren't they ornery sometimes Chimney? lmao I remember when she was just a little thing, she got such an attitude, everyone was playing with her and she was starting to get really rough, growling and getting pissy. She tried that with me and I put her on her back right then and there and held her till her little temper tantrum was over. I let her know that she would NOT be doing that with me, she's never tried since then. She know's who mommy is and that she's the boss lmao.

Don't feel bad! I'm the same way! Got prince when he was 7 weeks old...my first puppy ever! Lets just say I watched a lot of Cesar & read the Pomeranian for dummies book! Lol! It's hilarious but t worked! Just be patient. Prince wasn't 100% on everything until after 1 yr old. Even now we're working on his possession problems. He knows better but he gets aggressive over things because he knows he houldnt have them. He's getting better but he's a trip. Sometimes he'll get so fixated on something!!!

30 years ago, I lived in a small townhouse. The back yard (if you could call it that) was about 15 feet wide by 20 feet long, with a tall privacy fence all the way around. I got some 6 foot long landscaping ties and made a box, using the back corner of the fence as two of the sides. I then filled it with sandbox sand to a depth of about 6 inches. Samantha (a 90 lb. German Shepherd) was "box trained" in about 3 days.

Our yard isn't fenced but she won't leave the yard or the protection of her gigantic Husky friend Nana lmao...she will go a few steps down the driveway and then back she comes and all around the house. She loves the yard, she goes out with daddy all the time, if he goes out without her she get's very upset till I let her out lmao...then she heads straight to the barn and hangs with him lol.

Sometimes I think I got lucky. Prince wasn't too hard to train. I'm a softy so I never crated him. I gated him off in the bathroom when I wasn't home & left him with his pee pee pad & crate. He took to it almost right away. But out of the crate & bathroom was a different story. He eventually wanted to lift his leg on everything but I took control of that pretty quickly. I used his leash to keep him nearby & restrict his movement when he was out! I thought he'd never get trained but I had to remind myself a lot when he had accidents that he was only a baby!! Plus he's food motivated so once I got that it was pretty easy to get him to go where he was supposed too. But boy was it hard in the beginning
