But to answer your question...I have a app on my cellphone called tapatalk that sends me an alert that someone's posted to a thread that I'm subscribed too. It works pretty good most of the time. It also lets me know if someone quoted my post or if they sent me a pm.
Ugh, that would drive me batty if I had a phone
House cleaning...uggggh maybe Saturday. I might actually be able to borrow an associate to cover my store Saturday so I can get a much need break. Finger's & toe's are crossed!Fingers crossed!!!!

You can tell ECF to send you email when somebody posts to one of the threads that you're subscribed to... that's what I do...

For a new thread subscription, you click on Thread Tools, then select "Subscribe to this Thread...". It takes you to a new page with "Notification Type" and "Folder". In "Notification Type", select "Instant notification by email" then click "Add Subscription".

For threads you're already subscribed to, open your Settings page (link at the top of the screen), then select "Subscriptions" (on the left) to open up a list of all your subscriptions. Tick the checkbox for the thread you want to be notified about (checkbox on the right), then go to the bottom of the page and click the "Selected Threads" button. An options list will open and you'll want to select "Instant, via email" and then click the "Go" button.
"Instant" isn't. It takes a few minutes...

7/11. I got my first job there

Today is a big day in my family. 60th wedding anniversary for my parents. Wish dad was here to celebrate. And 6 years later they adopted ME so it's my 54th adoptaversary today too Could not have asked for better parents. I want my Dad back !! I so wish vaping had been around before he died. He loved to fiddle with things it would have suited him well.

That's certainly not TMI my dear! It certainly is a big day for you! Whooohooo on the 54th adoptaversary!! Sounds like you have awesome parents! Marriages don't last that long anymore for the most part. So sorry about the loss of your father!

Yeah it's been 10 years and I still miss him everyday. It's been 40 since I lost my brother. I miss him too but only once or twice a week now. Time does heal. But very slowly.

Chim, I really hope you get your day off!!! Working part time has truly, TRULY spoiled me. There was a time, I worked six days a week for a period of about 3 years, then many, many years just full time, with just seasonal overtime, I remember those days vividly, and want to pass on some hugs for you!! Hi Dale (((hugs))) Yes, I got lots of sleep and it felt sooooo gooooood! lol I was beginning to get a bit crazy from lack of sleep. Yesterday morning I went to the PO and when I came home I nearly pulled up onto the front porch lol. DH asked if I was trying to make my walk to the front door a bit shorter. He's such a smart .... lol, that man...(nevermind) don't want to be man bashing and scare our men away.

I got off of here earlier and did some cleaning and washing some clothes but soon I'm gonna have to get back to work. I have lots to do before Saturday.

I forgot to tell the story about how I ended up here lol. Well...
I came to ECF as soon as I got my new Ego, to do research and find out what would work best or rather better. Not really sure how I stumbled onto the Lurking thread, just saw it one day, made a couple of posts and then went my own way for a while. I kept seeing it popping up so I decided to check it out again. I made a couple more posts and decided that I liked it in here so...I made myself at home cause Stormy told me to and I haven't left. I'm hoping I don't overstay my welcome and have them kick me out lmao.

I also had talked to a few more of the girls on here and told them to come and hang out, I figured they were looking for a home too Chimney, Kabonk, and Elf but it would seem that Kabonk has left us.

So...moral of story is that I found my home on the forum and although I do post in other areas, Lurkers will always be my home!

(Hoping so!) And happy adoptaversary to you! I was adopted as well. We're 'the chosen'. Everybody elses parents just got stuck with them. heh heh heh. JK! I loved the candy isle at 7/11 when I was a kid.
