Hey Kaye dear! Thanks! I miss the snow too! I went to grad school in michigan. After a while I got tired of looking at it but it was quite pretty the first couple of snowfalls...after the 30th storm or so I was over it. I hate that we rarely get snow here. We tend to get more ice than anything. The one thing I did like was that nothing shut down due to the snow. If you even mention snow here...good luck getting any bread or milk at the store. People go crazy!!

Hey Jerry!
Yeah... if we've had a lot of snow in a winter, I'm pretty well DONE by the end.. but we always need as much as we can get so I try not to fuss.
Oh! Sorry...I just figured it would take too long for you guys to travel cross-country...hence the pictures: now you know how to do it yourselves :lol::lol:

NO---NO---NO---NO!!! I can always find a way to cool off in the summer; but in the winter I am hard pressed to find a place to get warm. These old farmhouses SUCK in the winter.
I think I'd rather drive cross country some days that go up and cook dinner.

I hear ya. My house was built about 1920. The first couple of winters in it were brutal, but we rebuilt it so much that most of the walls are 8" thick now and it does okay with two wood stoves. I don't do heat well (sweat glands don't work) so I much prefer winter. I can always warm up, but have a terrible time cooling down.

Kayte, I heard that some of the wealthy folks have hot water pipes under their driveways and walks. Nice idea, wish I was wealthy. lol

Wouldn't that be nice?! I guess we can make ourselves feel better by calling them wimps.

That's funny how people empty the stores if you guys might get an inch of snow. Wow. lol
I'm glad we don't get ice storms here. The pics are beautiful and amazing... but nooo thank you!

Around here it's not only the groceries but kerosene & propane; and you can't buy a generator for all the money in the world!

Evening everyone (((hugs))) Dale, Chimney, Elf, Kayte and Jerry  Has anyone heard from Blue?

Come to think of it I haven't?

Hi AB.. Blue was here a few nights ago, but haven't seen her otherwise in quite awhile. Hope she's okay!

We were used to 2ft snows and the occasional 3 footer. The last several years I get all excited if we get 2". I don't know if we got even 2ft over the whole winter this last year. I really really hope next winter is better. I'm way beyond hating this drought. I may have to get rough and force my entire family to pack up and move somewhere wet.

We shall all take a moment to thank God for sparing your DH's life. And you from jail time.

Mine was okay other than the random hormone surges.
I'm going to be watching two granddaughters in the morning. Starting at 8:15. It's like these people have no clue about how I feel about 8:15am. They should KNOW by now that I am not human yet! But somehow they think it's perfectly safe to leave a 3 year old and a 6 month old with me anyway. What the heck are they thinking? :sneaky:
