I saw the MASH movie, when I was stationed in Korea. When I came home, the series started and I never missed an episode. 
A bit of trivia: Jamie Farr (Corporal Klinger) was the only member of the series cast, who actually served in Korea.
In the movie, my favorite line was said by Radar. An officer was chewing him out and said "how did you get into the Army". Radar responded with "I was drafted". LOL

I've seen the movie, but don't remember if that part was in it. I remember it from the book. Loved the series too.
