If you have a Windows, Android, Blackberry or iPhone you can get the software to let you use your phone like a modem...

You need to have a dataplan and able to browse the inet on your phone, meaning it needs to be a smartphone.

PdaNet -- Use your Treo smartphone as a Wireless Modem for your PC

There's 2 bits to it... one bit goes on your phone, the other goes on your computer.

I use the USB connection instead of the HotSpot... easier...


software is free, but has limitations unless you pay $8 to unlock 'em. I don't know what the limitations are...

DH was trying to explain it to me when I got my phone a couple years ago. I have a dataplan, but something about my phone is tethered, and you can't un-tether it. I'm sorry, I don't really know the terminology.

Naw, only for a minute, we'll all be back around.

So, I did NOT take a nap. I wrapped some more coils and rewrapped my two WyVerns. The Evod coils are a breeze for me now, the WyVerns are testing my sanity!! Actually, it's just the silica wicking that just wants to crumble. I may just go with cotton next time, but I'm afraid I'll end up with dry hits.

Off to putter 'n putz around a bit more, and kill the two flies I just let in the house.
