When I was moving from CA to AZ it was around this time, and from shortly after crossing the CA/AZ border to about 5 miles from here there was a continuous light show. I was driving the truck at night, so it was quite spectacular.

    The rain... not so much...

LOL! I do hate driving in the rain myself, especially what we call a "white out"
But I love a good ole' thunderstorm as long as I'm safe in the house:)
Where did you grow up Deej and what drew you to AZ? I mean Death Valley?!?

San Diego, CA - Birth to age 13
    Indio, CA - 13 to 18
    San Diego, CA - 18 to 28
    Philadelphia, PA - 28 to 30
    Los Angeles, CA - 30 to 56
Chino Valley, AZ - 56 to current

    I'm still growing up. :)

CA went insane. Literally. The whole state is rapidly going the way of Detroit.

But that's not the primary reason I left. I left because the company I worked for closed its doors after the Affordable Care Act passed (and yes, it was a direct result of the ACA), and I wasn't able to find anybody hiring in my field (medical software/device testing). After I exhausted all my savings and my retirement account while trying to find work, I came to AZ to take up residence in my dad's house while he traveled.

 Boy that kind of thing is happening everywhere these days:( It's so hard for qualified people to find work anymore ... and if you don't have the skill's you're just out of luck or abused.

heh... no, the PA move was a job transfer.

Only once have I considered moving cross-country for a woman. When I started shedding stuff that was gonna be too hard to move, it suddenly became "real" and she broke it off. :)

On the job front, I've also heard "overqualified" for some of the positions I applied for...

But... it did allow me to pursue other endeavors...

 Joke all you want Deej but I know that had to have hurt deeply.
My first real love asked me to marry him when I was 16. I told him I was too young so two weeks later he married a 39 year old woman ....I never got over it:(

I'm certainly not over-qualified for anything since I only have a HS education but I'm sure glad you do what you're doing now:) Yumm!:p
