Oh ... well, yes in that case. Same problem here:(
Here I was all content & happy with my little ole' eGo's & then LB & Chim got me all wound up about these "other" things:facepalm:
And juice? Let's not even go there! Why does it have to start out good then go bad? :grr:

Dale. What do you mean go bad. I haven't had any juice go bad.

OK, nobody pass out from shock, but I'm back! Other than supporting Robin & Tvans effort, I've been on an internet break. Took me hours to catch up, so remind me not to do that again  There's too much to remember that I can't even begin to comment individually. Welcome to all the new members. It looks like overall, things are going well for everyone.

Hi charm. I've seen your name referenced many times. The Lurkers are an awesome group. :)

Ah, you need to stop looking at all the new toys everyone shows here! ;)

I've settled on what I'm using pretty much from the beginning. Nova and PV. The only thing that changed was going from an eGo to a Provari. But that's just me. I hate fiddling and not much of an experimenter.

Are you just not satisfied with what you're using? Or having problems?
Why do you think I took a break, lol! Of course I look at everything, and that makes me think I NEED everything....no problems, just trying to figure out how to balance my new hobby/addiction with my old life. Vaping has been my ONLY focus for 10 months, to the detriment of all my other responsibilities (and relationships). It's been necessary to reset my smoking "triggers", but I have to figure out how to fit some things back in again, or my home & yard will be condemned, and my family & friends will forget who I am. Well, I'm exaggerating a bit, but I've let a lot of things slide making the transition.

I'm looking forward to my first Florida winter
I'm now seeing people talk about colder nights and fall temps back north. Hahaha. Still hot here! I'm loving it!

You'll like the winters in Ft Pierce. :) If i remember correctly from when i grew up in ft lauderdale we rarely got below 60 with an occasional frost. Of coarse after a few year down here anything below 70 is chilly. Brr

Oh yeah....the forum can be addicting just as much as taking that smoke break every 20 minutes. :grr:

Not that kind of "go bad" Steve; just that some of the things you like in the beginning you stop liking :)

I get you. So true. I bought a bunch of the same juices when i first started and ended up give most of them away bc I lost my taste for tobacco flavors. Thats why i like to do DIY now. I'll make 5 or 6 - 5ml bottles of different flavors and mix them up over a couple of weeks til they're all gone and make some other flavors

Thats a nice unit. Manly. Where did you get it?

It's an $18 V3 Sentinal clone from Fasttech, in all brass, with the firing button lock ring removed (they seem to sometimes be defective and not lock correctly, so I was uncomfortable with that) and replaced the lock ring with a 3/8 brass compression cap from Home Depot. It not only perfectly matches, but is much sturdier than the original locking ring and allows the mod to stand up on a table much better.

Since I like my original Protanks and they have a problem drawing air on some mechs, this one included, due to fitting flush against the top, I added an Ego to 510 adapter with some air holes drilled in it, and added a brass Ego beauty cone also with air holes drilled into it. I also expanded the air holes in the Protank bases slightly. I put a rubber washer between the cone and the top cap of the mech purely for aesthetics as there was a slight gap, and it came out looking like a gold light saber. My next move will be to sand down the pair of Protanks I use as they are brass under the chrome.

Manly it is. It is pretty much indestructible, simple, very heavy and looks pretty good even when scuffed up and used rough.

Forum? Pfft! You didn't mention the FB groups (12), my local vape club, not to mention all the shopping & crafting that must be done to support my "show us your pretty" addiction......

Very nice!!! Good info too. I will archive this for future reference. I have all the tools to mod a unit like this. Way too cool. :)

The only tool needed was my drill with my smallest drill bit. I added new holes to the beauty cone and Ego/510 adapter which did not come with any, and merely enlarged the holes in the Protank base, all by hand on the edge of my computer desk. The adapter drilling was a lesson in what not to do, as I did not remove the inside firing pin first and ended up killing it with the drill, and I had to make another from various leftover ecig head parts I happened to have lying around in my kit. Oops

For the $25 or so I have invested in it, this mech has been a very good buy
