Can I just rant for a moment? I'm a good mom, I really am...I've done soooooo much for my kids and I love them more than anything!
That being said, when the hell will I get a break? When will they ALL just move out and get lives of their own and let me and dad have our lives back? For 28+ years I have been taking care of kids, when does it END??????? Really??? C'mon God, I need a break. I've gone above and beyond raising my kids, now I have to raise my grand kids as well? Seriously? Why? Where did I go wrong in the raising of my kids? I want to run away, I really just want to run away screaming and hide somewhere that my kids will NEVER find me.
I'm tired, I'm just really tired, emotionally, physically and mentally, I'm exhausted! Every day I wake up and just shake my head knowing that I have to start it all over again. My husband and I tried so hard to instill good values in our children, tried to teach them about life and what to do and what not to do. My nerves are shot, they are just stretched beyond belief and when I think they won't stretch any further something happens and I find out they they can stretch on for eternity.

With the last two we ended up leaving and moving continents, and left the grown kids behind to their own devices, successes and failures. Did them good actually and made them independent.
Of course moving to another continent is a bit drastic for most parents, but I am certain some parents use the same method on a smaller scale.

IF YOU DON'T TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF FROM TIME TO TIME, THEY WON'T HAVE ANYONE AROUND TO HELP WHEN THEY REALLY NEED IT. TELL THEM ALL TO TAKE CARE OF THEIR OWN BUSINESS & LEAVE YOU ALONE FOR AWHILE!!!
