I love my recliner! We bought this furniture last year for our apartment but it doesn't go well with the living room in the new house. As soon as we get new furniture I get to put this stuff in the man cave :) I can't wait! I might never leave the basement lol

That's how my DH is. He pretty much lives in the basement. Ah, you'll have fun decorating your man cave.:D
Can't believe how BIG Diesel is getting!! Is he still behaving at daycare?

Dale, sorry your DH is sick. I sure hope you don't catch it. What is it? Flu or cold?

The rain/storms are here so I switched to my iPad. Nice to have that option.

So, my tummy is FULL. I made a spinach & mushroom omelet with salsa and a little shredded cheese. Then on the side, one serving of turkey sausage, a couple slices of tomato, and one piece of multi-grain bread (toasted).:)

Mmmm I'd love some breakfast! :) unfortunately for me Katie is doing homework and if it doesn't include a BBQ I'm not much of a cook. Katie just started school again, she got her masters last year and is now going for her doctorate. Hopefully I can retire early one day :D
Awww, too bad ... I can cook even tho' my mom never taught me how ... trial & error!
Breakfast is easy ;) But I had to cook everyday when the kids were home so I did get burnt out on it all.
    Good morning all!!
Dale, your storms are headed our direction. They're actually almost here now, I can hear the thunder, and the radar has them within just a few miles. Icky, rainy, grey day. Ah well, we need the rain, and we've had BEAUTIFUL weather all week, so I won't complain. Besides, I'm not really in the mood to do much today.
    Good morning Lori!
    Missed you a lot yesterday!!!
We had a beautiful week too & I like stormy weather so I'm good with it ... except when I have to shut down the computer :)

Old recliner's are better, they are always more comfy ;)
Both of ours are rejects from my parents.

GG, I'm sorry you guys couldn't get that truck going!
Sure hope it get's fixed soon :(

    Diesel looks sad ...

    Yummm! That sounds good Lori!
As to DH ... I'm guessing Flu? His lips are all crusty and he was sore all over last night.
He is feeling better right now but we are guessing it's that "I feel better this morning" thing that will
deteriate throughout the day. I sure hope I don't get it, that's all I need right now :(
Huh .... I just looked and we have some blue skies :D

So, how about I am just now checking out how Kindle works  I'm just lightening fast when it comes to learning new things, ehh?
Can't help it, I'm old school for the most part. I like an actual book. But like the instant gratification aspect of the Kindle. :D

    How odd!
And you're the one who told me how to turn off the auto correct :)

I have some games on mine I like to play and I like to use it to check in on here during the night when I wake up,
or if I go to bed but I'm not sleepy enough to drop off I'll browse around in the Attic ;)

I like the mobility of having any type of tablet device. I can sit out in the sun room (why they call it that is beyond me, it's shaded!) away from the air conditioning and play all I want. :)

    It's nice to have option's isn't it :)

    Good morning Robin:wub:

Surely you know we are dying to hear all about last night! :sneaky::?:

That's because it's the same as texting on a phone. ;)

When you live in Florida, the room is called a lanai. :)

I like the mobility too! :D It's really growing on me. I'm still glad that DH won it though, not sure if I like it well enough (yet) to justify the $, but I'm a tightwad ;)

Did you perform last night?? I may have missed it if you posted about it.

Afternoon everyone! Been out running around looking for a birthday gift for the birthday party. OMG, it's been so long since I bought a birthday gift for a 1yr old girl. My nieces are now teens & some of the stuff they make for kids now is insane. I thought it was tough when I was shopping for my nephew.

Anyway, I'm off to get dressed now. I'll try to check back in before I leave. If not, they only have the venue for 2 hours...yes a venue (it's a children's museum) for the birthday party...what happen to the days of at home with only close family & friends.

The last gift I found for a 1 year old (girl) was in the gift shop at Cracker Barrel. They had/have some really cute stuff for all ages there, even adults. I found a beautiful trinket box for a good friend of mine there too. For older kids, they have a lot of the old time games too. They also gift wrap at the holidays too.;) Plus, who doesn't love to EAT there.
I think home parties just aren't as popular as they used to be. I think for a lot of people they'd rather skip the clean up, before and after. A guy I work with took three days off for his son's first birthday party this past summer. They were expecting something like 60 people in all. He had his smoker going for two days before the party smoking ribs, then they were also going to have burgers and hot dogs, and other kid friendly food. But I remember thinking....geesh...all that for a one year old. But, he has a HUGE close knit family too. Nothing wrong with that.

It was fun. I had a couple of brain farts  overall it was good. :)

Actually got off the stage and had a few dancers sing along with some lyrics. People like doing stuff like that :D
Well, I think that's just AWESOME!! I'm sure you were harder on yourself than anyone else would have been. Besides, you had fun, and that was the primary goal.
