Hi everyone :( Well...I said it was gonna be a bad day and it was. I spent about 2 hours crying this morning with the door to my office closed. I sent the wrong attachment with an email yesterday (mind you, at the time there were 3 people in my office and I was trying to do 3 things at once) Well, I sent the 'old' attachment, not the new one. I got written up at work. I'm nearly 50 years old and I've worked a lot of different places and I've NEVER been written up...only here. This job is so stressful that I tend to make stupid mistakes, like not crossing my t's or dotting my i's :(

Oh well, just thought I would share my wonderful day!

Stormy, I'm so glad you are okay!! I have been worried about you.

Well guys, I was fired :( The attachment they wanted me to send was a forged document. I sent the real document that the driver had actually signed. I told them I didn't like the idea of sending a forged document...after lunch, they came up, fired me and escorted me out of the building. They claimed that I kept telling them to fire me. What I said was...if you don't think that I can do this job or if I'm not doing it to your liking then fire me. Well, in the termination letter they wrote up they left out the first part and said I repeatedly kept telling them to fire me.

This has not been a good day for me and now I have no job and don't know what I'm going to do.

Thank you Dale, it's been a rough day all the way around. I can't even fight cause it's their word against mine. :( I don't know what to do and I am just sitting here in disbelief, I've never been fired from a job before and it's horrible.

Awww Angel I am sorry...I understand..Where I work now I have a ton of responsibility, I am over the medical department and pitch in a lot of different areas plus I teach classes on Tue and Thur and every other Fri. I have always been praised for doing a good job at most things I have done..at this job I am constantly chasing my tail and so stressed that I am just trying to get the most important things done. For the first time in my career I feel like I am not so good! I do the same stupid mistakes, the little things that I just run out of time for. Well, that being said...its bull crap..we take the load, we do it when the smarts one won't and end up overwhelmed! I love my job, but the students come first..so some emails don't make it out in time..I take a little flack but in the long run I know who I am and what I am capable of, with the understanding that what I do doesn't always make me look good, but what I do is great.

    Remember who you are!

Omg ... I'm so sorry AB!

I know this is no consolation at the moment but it sounds like you might be better off in the long run not working at that place. I mean, wanting you to send forged documents where you would have been the one held responsible if that fact ever came to light, you could have been held liable and lost potentially more than just a job. Obviously I don't know the particulars of your situation there but it sounds like they wanted you to be the fall guy and then got mad when you wouldn't go along with it.

This may just be a blessing in disguise ....
