I had a golden/lab mix and he was the best, such a sweetheart and always wanting to please ... and play ... and play ... and play, you get the picture I'm sure!

Yep we play if we are awake around here got a golden/????? Mix rescue puppy for Xmas he's almost a year old now.

I seriously never met a mean Rottie. I am so sorry for your loss. I know Rotties are just big babies. Sometimes a tad stubborn.

I have two yellow Labs...got them both as pups about seven years ago from a breeder. They are from two different litters. They're my kids, my best friends, my confidantes, and my constant companions.

Yes, I've had 3 of them, well one was a mix (Bloodhound/Rottie, strange combo and he was HUGE) and they were all like you said, big babies. True they could be a little stubborn at times but not a mean bone in thier body. One of my Rotties could not stand it if she couldn't see where I was at all times. She would sit outside the bathroom waiting for me and if I happened to forget to close the bathroom door completely when taking a shower, I'd end up having company! I knew Labs loved water but it was the same with my Rotties too; they all loved water.

Ugh, me too! Up til 11p.m. (unheard of for me) then up about 7a.m. just in time to greet the two grandbabies --- before I finished my first cup of coffee no less! Grrrrr!

Rita sleeps with us too, she's a lip smacker. I know she doesn't have lips, but that the noise she makes......plus she LOVES to snuggle, king size bed and I end up with about 6 inches on the edge by morning........

Elly is like my dh, tosses, turns, scratches & so on; under the cover, on top of the cover etc...etc...Oh well, when she does settle against my back it feels so warm & cozy

I got up this am put kid on bus let dog out. Got dog in and went back to bed.
Looks like y'all had fun.
I'm a diehard Braves fan since they moved to Atlanta.
Tonight all the grad stuff starts. He's not even graduating yet. So I get to go hear the trombone choir tonight. Then sell water Saturday. And there are at least 3 parties to chauffeur to over the weekend.
Don't know why he does not want to get his dl.

Dang! Such a busy busy person you are ... that's the second kid I've heard of that didn't want to get their DL! So weird it's almost a rite of passage for most of us. FREEDOM!!!

It just makes me so sad and I was trying to figure out what I could do, so me and the kids at school are going to do a car wash this weekend for donations and supplies to send down there..only way I can help right now!!

We all feel this way, sounds like you've got a winner idea!

Haze, so sorry your Rottie has passed on to that doggy pasture in the sky. I'm pretty much nervous around them myself but all the one's around here are on their own & don't look particularly friendly Your's is beautiful & looks sweet - I might would have petted her?/him?

Stormy, the babies are about to get up so I'll have to get off for a while, will look for that new thread when I come back ... after checking in at home first of course.

And if this pops up looking weird I don't know/don't have time to fix it .....sorry

Oh Haze, what A BEAUT!!! So very sorry for your loss!! My brother & SIL had one, and he was a BIG, BIG, baby. But he was closest (bonded) to my SIL. The three of them slept in a queen size bed...my brother did have to explain to him one night that HE was actually the Alpha male of the house, but after that it was all good....LOL. Their grandkid would climb all over that dog, when Wiley had enough, he'd go to lay in the bathtub...LOL....so funny animals are!!! He was also a lapdog....well, he REALLY, REALLY wanted to be!!

So glad y'all made it home too!!

Goldens are just beautiful too!!! I haven't seen too many though in real life. They're supposed to be good family dogs too right???

Mrs. Beasley was meaner than any Rottie thought about being. Thank goodness she didn't have the size to match her snarl. We loved her and had a great time with her, but she was shall we say --- deranged!

Phewwwwww, okay, got caught up. Don't know what's wrong with me, I went back to sleep and slept till almost 2pm. I also have a cough that has come out of nowhere.
