Kinda torn between the Lavatube and the Vamo...they both look really cool.

That Lavatube looks really nice to me.

I'm so glad you got a replacement..who did you get it from?

IMG_20130607_162323.jpg

I left it a bit long this time.. but next time, I think I have another idea on how I want to do this.. 2 coils, 2 wicks, wrapped a bit more than 6 times.. not sure how many but the 6 to me seems a bit skimpy..

I've been doing 6 wraps around a machine screw and putting in the wick before I reassemble it. I get an ohm reading of 2.4 to 2.6 using Kanthal 32

Hi all. Hope you're having a good day. Yep Rhonda.. I was catching up!

We just finished lunch... green juice. Good stuff and I'll share what we put in it since others like this kind of thing. :D
How much of each depends on how much you want to drink. ;)
kale
carrots
blueberries
blueberry/pomegranate V-8 splash
banana
pear
flax seed
ginger (fresh.. a little goes a long way)

Both flax seed and banana are thickeners, so don't let it sit!
We changed to only using flax seed every other day because apparently, not only is it high in omega3, it's also very high in estrogen and I already have trouble with being estrogen dominant (right side migraines being a symptom.) I need to get some chia seeds... they're supposed to be very good for you too.
Anyway, it simple, yummy and filling.

Kayte, that sounds terrific!! mmm I have some of the fruits! ;) but not the flax seeds.. Think I saw some at Ingle's the other day.

I will, Elf.. writing that down now. Oh wait.. it's a nail?? I got a few of those too. I hope this one holds up, but now I won't be afraid to redo it, if I don't have to :)
Big thanks for the tips!!

Use any fruit and veggies you like. We throw in different things here and there, depending on what we have on hand and what needs to be used. Sweet potato is the only thing I haven't liked in it... just too strong of a flavor for this, imo. But brussel sprouts, zuc's, spinach, snow peas, etc., are all good. And I haven't met a fruit I didn't like. :) We use lots of blueberries because they're quite nutritious and help with inflammation.

No, it's a finely threaded screw. Here's a picture, with a penny for scale.
