Hey folks, we had a belated Christmas and so I spent this afternoon having Christmas with my mom. But I did get in my other surprise from you fine folks. Was going to wait and say something after I had some pics to go along with it, but ended up being late and I'm too tired to setup that picture tent thingie. I will cross my fingers for a sliver of sunshine tomorrow for some better pics. If not, I will definitely setup the tent. Anyway, it was already more than generous you folks got me my El Rosa de Pinche, which is just absolutely stunning, but now an Origen 16mm little and a very generous cash donation (which I spent some on my better half who's been taking great care of me while I'm rehabilitating). The rest is going into the mill fund. Hopefully after I build out the rest of my current inventory and sell, a new mill will be added to my arsenal. And with that, some really cool new ideas floating around in my head. Ok, rambling again. Honestly, I just don't know what to say other than thank you. It has meant more to me than you can ever know, to have people care like you'll have. And now I will shut up until I can get you'll some pics.
But, I got questions. This is one cool @$$ little atty. So many different ways you can set it up. Was hoping for some pointers since I know a lot of you have this atty. I tried the dual coil 24g and it didn't quite do it for me. Thinking this might be a neat single coil atty. I saw what someone called a z coil in another thread and wanted to know what you guys (guyzz for Bob) are running? This thing is made so damn well, I see loads of potential. I also really like the nipple tip grub screws, so it puts more tension on the wire without cutting it. Very cool atty!

One thing that has been really great about taking this time to properly heal is it's giving me time to do things like learn more about what coils I really like. Honestly, I have yet to be impressed by clapton wire, but really liking plain 24g kanthal. I rarely had time to play with coil setups in the past, so when I found something that worked, I just stuck with it. But now I've had the time to refine my coils to be more satisfying.
Glad you had a good belated Christmas DJ. So very glad to hear the back is progressing like it is!!
Played with Clapton's quite extensively myself and found that 32g wrapped over 28 2mm coils to 0.4 is the sweet spot for me. Anything bigger and they take too long to heat.
I've got two of em, one is setup single center coil with a 4 wrap 26/30 Kanthal Clapton, the other is setup for regulated with a single 6 wrap 24g Titanium coil

24 gauge in a mech is just great. It's my build every time. I don't have the little 16 yet but it builds like a stumpy. One of my favorite builds in that is the single coil in thr middle too.
Ok, ok, I finally got a pic and it sucks too. Gloomy as crap outside and it's only going downhill the rest of this week. It was all I could do to setup the quick tent shot, so not quite a good pic, and not like I was really any good at taking them anyway. Sorry I don't have the new atty on the pinch, call it vain, but my only matching tip is nup nip (as I didn't know anything about getting an atty...LoL). So I am running my new atty on my peko as I love the matching tip on my pinch. Not to mention they are both hitting like freight trains....so why screw with what is working.
FYI, I did end up staying with the single clapton coil. D'oh, I was half asleep when playing and didn't realize my battery was played out. Stuck in a fresh battery and Wow! Z clapton coil in the Genesis Little is awesome! And dual 24g in my nuppin'. In my opinion, two of the best mechs on the market side by side, hands down.

Had to reiterate again, this has been a fantastic Christmas, mainly due to my ECF family. Still can't believe you folks did all that for me and kept it secret (that was really amazing...LOL...with Bob in the group).
