I'm the freak that prefers winter temps to heat and snow to rain. Problem is, it is neither snow nor rain here. It is ... quote ... "snow, rain, freezing drizzle, freezing fog and sleeting" outside.

It is nastier than a plankton blood bath outside. That, my friends, is why I sit here at the computer, glancing at Tiburon's posts and drinking coffee creamed with the finest milked nuts.

That was my dinner tonight

Cannot move!!

1 hour to go ... happy new year!!
Ok, so that is the appetizer, where is the rest?

Do you roll your own (sushi, people, stay focused here)? I learned a few years back and love making my own sushi. Saves a ton of money making your own too, plus you can control the ingredient quality.

Yup, 2015 is finally coming to a close....and I am kicking it in the .... goodbye. Was a rough one. But a lot of good things too. Anyway, my plans are to quietly ring in the new year with the wife and Malloy. I'm sure the local rednecks will have some fireworks displays going close by, with sounds of firetrucks and ambulances close behind in the background.

Anyway, I wish all a happy new year with prospects of a wonderful 2016 right around the corner. Please everyone be safe and responsible tonight.

Thanks and take care!

Yep ... well the wife does ... I'm the assistant, you know moving stuff, chopping etc ...

Imagine buying this much lol ... not even on new year would be worth it ... I'm happy with the quality we do we get to pick the best ingredients and still way cheaper.

New record ... I ate around 80 pieces ...

It's new year HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

I will have to settle for sushi tomorrow.
Lucky you, my sushi place will be closed tomorrow and no way I can make my own right now (and...hahahaha...for my wife making it, we would be going to the emergency room if I trusted her with my good knife set). Now that I am in the mood, guess I will have to wait for Saturday to get any...sigh.

Thanks Aal....I hate you now.

Ah, I hear the redneck mortar brigades starting. They are probably thinking the civil war began again or something. But that will soon be replaced with the sound of thousands heading to emergency rooms from "Hey Billy Bob, watch this". Yup, managed to get Bob in there in case you didn't notice....lol. Luckily with all the rain, shouldn't be too many wildfires in the area. But in July, forget about it....place is crazy. Gotta stand outside with garden hose waiting on the fiery reports. I'll just be glad when the night is over and quieted down again. The messed up part is they are all illegal in this state except for sparklers....LOL. Yet I am hearing huge mortar type fireworks.

It usually pretty quiet here. I've never been to FL for for New Years Eve, but on the 4th of July, everyone is out on the beach either setting off or just watching fireworks. It's pretty safe though, since sand doesn't burn and most people aim somewhat toward the water.

The situation with buying fireworks there interesting is interesting too. There are a fair number of fireworks stores, and they sell pretty good stuff, despite it being technically illegal -- except for agricultural purposes, scaring off wild birds and such. You have to sign a form on your way in declaring that's what you're going to use your purchases for.

Anyway, happy New Year, DJ!
