I concur... waiting is the hardest part. I have not had a real ciggie (not even one puff) since yesterday once i got the higher nic juice.

thank you for that info! I just got some 36mg flavorless from juicyliquid.com.
I figured the 12mg juice just wasn't cutting it. I'll experiment with the 36 nic and pg/vg/distilled, etc that I have on hand now. I'm hoping between the replacement 402 parts and the higher nic juice, I can get some satisfaction out of the M402 and lay down the nicorette and cigs.

Just had major surgery and can't vape at all because of the way it affects your mucous membranes.

prr2freya - just caught up on the thread and saw you are 2 days smoke free. WTG!

. The carts I got with the kit seem small and it is almost like dripping with as often as I top them off. I got some DSE401 carts and they seem bigger (like the EVO carts maybe), but I feel like they don't draw as well. I haven't tried re packing either of them but my experience with that hasn't been great either. Anyone have any good results with carts they want to share?

I'm thinking the problems with the Mxx are the small carts also. I agree, you might as well drip, if you have to top off every 10 drags or less.

If they could redesign the carts, they'd have a winner. The ability to heavy vape is there, it's just not right most of the time. I'm sure other ecigs have the same quirks though?

I just went ahead and alotted myself the 10 day timeframe. Then if it gets here early....BONUS!!!!

:thumbs::thumbs:

I was agonizing, waiting, kept checking EMS web site. The status stayed at "left Shanghai" for a few days. I was getting very frustrated, and then... It just showed up at my door last Friday. Very pleasantly surprised.
All in all, it took 10 days from ordering to arrive.

Need: I found that even with a perfectly working PV, there's still the urge to smoke, no matter what nicotine level you take in. I'm almost certain that all of the additives in (most) commercial cigarettes are put there for the sake of keeping you addicted. I've found that having the PV helps with the NEED to smoke, as well as easing side-effects of nicotine withdraws.
That being said i haven't had a cigarette in about 6-7 weeks.

I have some flavorless 36 from Totally Wicked, and some from Vapor Nine (i think, its unlabeled) and can say that its a nice change from all of the flavored stuff. It may sound weird, but its a very "clean" vape. You can definitely tell there's nicotine in there, from throat hit, and the "peppery" feeling/taste of the nicotine, but sometimes i get headaches from some of the flavors out there.

As for the carts, although the M series has pretty much the smallest cart size of all the models, it also has the amazing ability to "pull" most of the liquid from the cart. In the 901, when i pull the cart off the atty, I find that there's still a good amount of liquid left in the cart. When i do the same with the M, most of the filler is practically dry. In essence, while it may not provide as much vapor or throat hit as some other units, the M is VERY liquid efficient, as well as reliable, and IMO pretty much the sexiest PV (outside of some very nice looking mods) .

Thanx Effy. Ive smoked for 22 years so another few days wont hurt me much.

Paradiso, thanx to the excellent links from Fedor, im thinkin i need to start checking the USPS link after it says left shanghai. Either that or im gonna just ignore it all and be pleasantly surprised when it all shows up...wooohoooo

Ive downgraded over the years from reds, to mediums, to lights, to now ultra lights. I quit for 2 years when my exwife got pregnant and didnt start back until the day of the divorce. It has always mostly been a mental thing im sure. Driving, after meals, a quit getaway from my desk, sitting in front of my computer for hours on end. This seems like the healthiest, cleanest, most reliable alternative out there. And thanx to all the great info on here, im pretty confident it will be a wonderful experience when i recieve my package.

i'm still waiting for the vapor on my 402 to kick in...it's been about 4 days. i'm hoping to get liquid soon, and from what i understand that helps a lot.

I found my 401 wasn't producing tons of vapor, however i found if i just poke a paper clip through the hole at the bottom and move the cartridge up a touch (like a 1/16th of an inch) it vapes much more.

hope that helps you.

I think something might not be right here. I use the carts with the 3 wings on them. I can get about 8 or 9 drops of liquid in there and it lasts me a good 60+ drags.

so i've had my ecig for a week now, and even got some liquid. i've tried refilling the carts, dipping and dripping and i'm still getting little to no vapor. i've charged all the batteries for 8 hours and let them die before charging for the recommended "3 to 4" hours. the only thing i haven't done is switched out the atomizer, because i'm still waiting for those from electronic-cigz (i placed my order on the 24th =/).

the throat hit is very strong (i can't remember if i've asked this before or not...but is throat hit related to the strength of the carts/liquid?) but i can't even manage two smoke rings.

the second day i had it the vapor was decent but now, even when i do a primer puff, barely anything.

i'm sad. but i'm not exactly giving up. i really want this to work, and i'm hoping it's just the atomizer.

It could be the atomiser but it could also be the battery. If you get a good throat hit but little vapor, your cart "might" be overfilled and atomiser might be flooded. You could try it with a new atomiser and then we will know for sure. You do not need a primer puff with these models as it would it could probably result in less vapor. Throat hit has little to do with the nicotine. Do not get higher nic juice thinking that you can get a better throat hit.

When i got my first ecig (DSE801), i was pretty clueless with it and by the time i got some liquid, i had unknowingly burnt the atomiser. I still don't know how i burnt it. Luckily for me, i got spares.

There is a difference between a weakened atomiser and a dead one. Atomisers may get weak after time. They still work and gets warm when you use it but performance is decreased. An atomiser is dead when it is cold and does not respond anymore. You can avoid the atomiser from getting weak so soon by performing many cleaning/ maintenance steps listed on the forums. I personally am too lazy to do this and therefore, have limited knowledge in this area. I have had atomisers lasting up to 3++ months and had some dead within 2 weeks. I just pop a new one. I think of them as disposables.

Mseries atomisers comes from Smoore. DSE attys comes from Sailebao. RN ones comes from First Union. KR ones comes from Kanger and the lists goes on. They all come from the same place, regardless of who sells them. There isn't any magical vendor/ reseller that can promise a higher quality atomiser or supplies with lesser problems. This has nothing to do with the customer service or reputation of the vendor. Ruuku has purchased from many suppliers. He reported a higher atomiser failure rate buying from Puresmoker compared to absolutelyecigs. We all know the stellar reputation that Puresmoker has, don't we? So its irrelevant. These stuff are possibly produced by the hundreds of thousands and are done mostly by hand. Its just the way it is.

Its pretty much the same with batteries and even liquid as well. I'm just in the mood to type a little. Besides the first paragraph, the rest of the post are just random thoughts and are not targeted to any post or reply.

i get the same thing, about 60+ drags per cart. what i do to refill is push the inner cartridge up, pull the polyfill up to the top with a paper clip, fill with juice, and mix a few times so the juice gets all in there...then use the atomizer to push it back down. if the polyfill makes good contact with the metal surrounding the wick, you should be good. if you have juice, drop one or two drops on the metal, but i haven't found the need to drop directly onto the atomizer/wick inside the metal shield.

also, i got vegetable glycerin from the vitamin shoppe (like 9 bucks for a 4oz bottle) and MAN. i was vaping EST's 36mg juice all day, and it has a kick on it...the VG smooths it out like crazy, and the smoke is nuts. there is a HUGE amount of it, and very smooth, really awesome, better flavor with less burn-y.

Hey Fedor, how much experience do you have with the 2 hole atomizers? I have an old intellicig branded 2 hole, but find that vapor production does not even compare to my "weakest" 4 hole. Throat hit is excellent, and the coils are glowing nicely. I just did a cleaning on it, (36hrs in club soda, has phosphoric acid, one of the suspected agents to work against coil build up) but i haven't seen an increase of vapor (which i kind of hoped for).

Oh well, i guess i can just keep it in back-up position.

Thanks kaeo... since the coils were very bright, i have to assume that everything is in working order. Maybe this will be my "don't bother me" atomizer...although i will be coughing up a storm ;)

Couldn't have said it better myself. I think that we all have to keep in mind that every atomizer/battery/liquid is really a gamble, but i have to admit that the odds are surely in our favor, no matter how stacked it can seem at times. Certain manufacturers we know to be duds *cough* eHealth *cough* and the other just suffer from poor quality control. With the amount these factories are producing, I'm sure that its no surprise that some components will be substandard. It is the test of a supplier/manufacturer to acknowledge this fact, and respond accordingly. Every time i had a problem with any of my orders with Absolutely they responded within 24hrs, always making sure that i was taken care of. Same with PS, they shipped out a new batt/atomizer before i even sent the defective one back.

i hope it does, the m401 is nice but i feel a bit more towards tasters and social smokers. Although not as sexy the 901 is awesome. mine gives me tons of vapor easy to refill only leaks when I over fill it. I wish you luck
I agree that the 901 produces more vapor, but the fact that the batteries (for me) only last 1/2 a M401 battery (again for me) and its inability to wick liquid out of the cart means that its not my EDC ecig. Its a very nice addition to a collection, but if i had to choose (in today's economy many do) between the M and the 901, i would have to choose the M.

oh i just smoked my last analog in the pack today. i really really hope i can stay away from them....work 402 work!

oh man I really feel for you. I'm still dealing with a bad batt and atty. Nothing works to get vapor.

One thing I would try to get some vapor out of it is pull the inner cart, or use the empty that the atomizer came with (no inner cart)

Leave the atomizer exposed, attached to the battery and blow like hell on it. It will light up and smoke/sizzle if it is flooded. If you're getting wisps of smoke off of it, put the empty cart back on the cig and take a few slow pulls. That should draw off the excess liquid off the atomizer and bring you back to square one.

Sucking on a bad atty or battery is like sucking a super thick milkshake. Suck your brains out and get nothing. It's a definite ..... when you're looking for a hit and get nothing. I usually lay it down and lite up an analog when it's screwy.

I read on a TW's forum that others have had similar experiences with the M401.

I got a magnifying glass and flashlight out to look at the bad atty. The white porcelain is clean as a whistle... I can see a wire in there. One weird thing is at the base there is plastic coming up out of the cylinder and it comes up over the edge of the steel wool looking thing.

Maybe that's the problem? Can anyone look at theirs to see if they're like that. I figure it's plastic to protect the atomizer's innerds. ??

but if i had to choose (in today's economy many do)

Exactly! I get very good vapor from my m401.. I get enough to feel it and visually see it.. I don't need to be blinded by it and I find the m401 is suiting my needs beautifully. I experimented with it and have found what best works for me.. In a short time, it has done wonderful things for me. Today I coughed up a little of the brown specks... the tiny bits of tar buildup from 20+ years of smoking. This makes me HAPPY!.. it means I am HEALING! (I once managed to quit for two months... two months is the longest... and it was a painful process.. not this time. This time I still feel the pull greatly... and I have given in and puffed on a real cig... and it just disgusted me. Mentally and physically. Quitting smoking is a side affect. It just sort of... happens... it can take a week, it can take 3 months. But eventually, ya just don't need them. You have a new way. I have faith in this... whether I continue to vape with nic long term remains to be seen.. or maybe I will just slowly go down to 0%.. point is... I'm off the tar... and my celia are waking up again and pushing that tar out of my lungs. It takes up to 10 years for your lungs to heal depending on the damage already done. I'm healing whilst vapin!

oopss.. rant.. sorry... anyway...

For this to also be a good economical decision.. eventually you need to pick a unit to devote yourself to. That is when you will start saving a lot of money.. I got lucky.. first i made the mistake many people do, and got a SmokingEverywhere 2.0 unit. I was a ...... and didn't do enough research (which is strange for me not to).. it was an impulse buy... THEN I did the research and found this forum.. Eventually I found this thread. I have read about all the units.. I think a lot of them are great from what people have said. Soooo.. find your unit. I got lucky.. my second unit was this one.. MUCH CHEAPER! And WAY better... That is good enough for me.. that it is suiting my needs as I work with it is good enough for me. So I can devote my funds to keeping my choice of unit(m401) always ready.

I got lucky. After next month I will have plenty of backup parts, and researching and experimenting and doing what works for me and the way i use my unit... will up the longevity of those parts. Then all I need is the juice (as I only drip but it's soooo hassle free for me now) I could buy juice every six months.. heck.. shelf life some say is 2 years. I get paranoid about milk being past the date so I'll allow a year. Learn your chosen PV and play it like a fine tuned instrument.. eventually you will know exactly how much extra pieces you need for a length of time. No need to buy lots of backup pieces for lots of diff units... Eventually, settle on one and then when/if the FDA does regulate and prices for juice go up.. and units.. well.. I love collecting things too... but eventually...

Also.. if I devote my funds to parts on one unit... then if that one becomes obsolete, i will have time to find another unit without scrambling and choose carefully:) Now if you make tons of money.. ignore what i said and have fun!

This thread is about the m-series as our dream e-cig. And about so many other things that involve it's upkeep and has lots of useful information about manufacturers, tips and tricks.. preferences... a lot of things any person who vapes can find useful; even if you don't find the m401/2 your dream cig;)

I felt like writing too! hahaha
