I guess the issue with a m series PCC would be the varing size of the batts. However if they did make a PCC for the M401 it would surely reign supreme.

Not necessarily... since the M series uses a male threaded battery, all the manufacturer would have to do is make it like a regular battery charger, and have the maximum depth .5-1" LESS than the length of a 403 battery. The 402 and 401 batts will stick out more than the 403s but at least it will be compatible between all of the batteries.

i orderd a m401 series e-cig *wootwoot* annd right now its chillaxing in customs, soooo my question being, so now i have a questominium. is there any reason that customs would confiscate my package? im assuming no sence many of you have orderd from china but i was told by a few people that because its from china it may not make it thru after they take a peak at it?

So far all of my EMS packages have been making it though with NP whatsoever. However the problem lies within the fact that we live in a bureaucracy. ANY health claims not recognized or tested may cause a package to get confiscated.
My sentiments exactly... However seeing as the M series have such a good battery life, I'm not too sure its really necessary. An M401 batt will last me roughly 2-3 times as long as a 510 batt will.Sweet..............................Where is it then?
A PCC for the M401 would be nice, a possible solution would be have floating charger connector with a slide or set/lock pin on the PCC case with a setting for for each type of battery(M401/M402/M403)

I have been reading through this thread because I just ordered an M401 Passthrough through Eastmall, and I wanted to see if others had problems with their passthrough. I received my order from Eastmall 2 days ago, and the passthrough worked good for 1 day (well, part of 1 day, as I haven't had time to use it much). It is now totally dead already, which really bums me out, as I was very much looking forward to having this passthrough for my M401 e-cig!
I did email Eastmall this morning, but haven't heard back from them yet. I don't know if it's so new that maybe they didn't work something out with it, or what, but I hope that I hear back from them soon!
I hope I don't have to mail it back, I can only imagine what the shipping would cost me. I am very disheartened that this new passthrough isn't working!

windylou: Well, I'm not too certain on this but the earlier PT may not be Smoore units. I'm not too sure if it was East Mall or Heaven's Gifts that were selling DSC401s, but the fact that the batteries were not Smoores means that another company is producing parts which are compatible with the Smoore M401.
There shouldn't have been any problem with compatibility - I also ordered M401 atomizers, along with this M401 USB Passthrough. So they *should* work together very well, especially since they were all from the same company. I re-checked my order, and it does say M401 passthrough, not DSC401 passthrough. I am a bit frustrated as to why they are not working together!
Ruyan told me directly that any passthroughs made to this point are not made by Smoore. Smoore is currently making them and Ruyan will offer them end of June, beginning of July.
I'm waiting b/c i hear the other "brand" passthroughs are a joke... A smoore 401 on a smoore passthrough would be very nice. I don't know anyone who's gotten one of these other p/t's whos is still working... It's a shame..

It is this lack of accesories that is getting the m series left behind. Their vapor production and battery life is fantastic and the ablility to choose a battery size of your choice is sweet as well.
However i am considering a 510 upgrade if only for the PCC and passthroughs.
If there were reliable accesories for the m series it would be fantastic but lets be honest, who doesnt want a PCC?

Yeah the DSE passthrough I bought a couple of months ago when they first became available burned out in 3 days. Another option is to keep an eye on the PT being developed by puresmoker. It looks pretty heavy duty, has a manual button, and will have 401 adaptors soon although the one thing about the 510s that I like is the usb with the in-line battery because as long as you keep the battery charged up it isn't as picky about what kind of usb you plug into. The straight PT don't work very well on the 500ma output adaptors (which are the most common). As far as the 510 PCC mine is already in the drawer. The 510 battery life is so short that even with a couple of batteries I lap the PCC. Its just easier to carry a couple of spare 401 batteries with me and not have to worry about the PCC too (the 401s taste and work better anyway IMO).

I still have the passthroughs i got from Trueman that are DSE401 and am still using the first one. It has been working fine for a month now and I use it a LOT.. I am only using my batteries now when I go out.. The draw is harder than a battery but it works fine. I would rather try something specically for the m-series atty. I am hoping your passthrough was a fluke and the one i got will work. I'll let you know!

So, your Trueman DSE401 passthrough works well with M401's? Or are you using DSE401 e-cigs with it? I will be looking forward to hearing how the P/T from Eastmall works for you!
The DSE PT works fine.. I can't say wonderful as i cannot compare it to one using an m-series threading. I use it with the m-series atomizers. I'll let you know how the Eastmall one works when i get it and if it has m-series threading. They look different so easy to tell.
