if you say a eGo is no stockbatt, yes.

the shorter batteries degrade sooner than bigger ones, but in my opinion even a 14500 degrades. i know people that change the 18650 after 6h heavy vaping, others use them 3 days until they are really emptied.

the original joye510 batteries do a lot of work for their tiny size. . . . imho ;)

To me the mods work like a fresh charged oem except they don't fall off anywhere near as fast. After a few hits on an oem the vapor starts to fall off along with the voltage. The larger battery maintains the voltage, higher and longer.

However for the other part of the question I would recommend the oem kit unless the poster had some special wants or needs. Keep it simple at first. It helps keep the confusion down.

I would definitely reccommend something like a 510 manual for a newbie and if you are satisfied with a 510 who can tell you differently? I would more likely had been satisfied with my 510 had it not been for the battery life. I can tell you that it is still a better vape IMO than my screwdriver most times (something about those 901 attys). Waiting on a 901 to 510 adapter to see if it suits me better.

My whole issue was the batt life with the 510. Hoping my mod will serve me better while I am working (don't have time to even change batts yet alone worry about it failing) but still have the 510 for out and about.

If one has barely or no time changing the batteries, a mod is of course the way to go. (Although the eGo probably solves that problem, too.) I always compare changing the batteries with getting out a new analog, finding the lighter, lighting it, putting the box and the lighter away ... same difference, I'd say. Topping of, same, too. And as I have to do it a lot less often than lighting an analog, I still probably save time, too.

Thanks, everybody, for their answers, btw. And particularly Kelem for his never-ending patience - he sure needs it with me :D

Personaally, thru my own trial and error, I like to recommend mmy current vape bc Ive found it to work the best-Ive already spent the cash on this and that model to find what worked for the most consistant, hassle free vape. If someone asks what I recommend, Id recommend what worked the best, no matter the cost....Of course, Id also recommend the less exp version of worked the best before I found the more exp one too...Id hate to see someone else try 6-7 different kits to get where Im already at. Id rather just tell them what Ive settled on that worked bc sometimes a higher startup cost for a better product is better than wasting all the cash I did trying to find it.I wouldnt recommend the $10 DX kit bc it works for an hour and then nothing. However, if someone wasnt serious yet and just wanted a taste of what ecigs were about I WOULD recommend the $10 510 disposables....

To the OP-Have you tried contacting madvapes or other US vendors that carry the dispoables? They may ship to Germany for you at an additional cost....Not sure if the extra cost would be worth it but its just an idea :)

8-o Heck - since I started vaping a few weeks ago and went full time 10 days ago and got off the analogs completely - it seems this has become not only my full time hobby - but darn near my full time job -- and honestly, I'm glad to be where I'm at right now - I feel like I have the bulk of the learning and experimenting behind me - FINALLY -

@crashtestjeep, they might, but there is not just the question of shipping fees, there is also the question of customs here. I could only ever order two, maybe three sets (max is currently around 35$ inclusing shipping fees before your might have to pay), and shipping is either expensive, or takes weeks. Just not worth the effort. I might as well direct them to China, which is also a hassle I usually avoid. (Directing them there is - I do order there myself.)
And a complete 510 kit with manual batteries is not that expensive. One, one and a half cartons of analogs, depending. I would not mind, though, if a German seller had those disposables.

I do not want anything resembling a crack pipe. After a year of vaping, I still prefer e cigs that resemble regular cigs.

My sentiments as well. I have nothing against mods, and if they could make one that wasn't big and bulky I'd consider it. The stock batts are fine for me - no they don't last as long as the bigger mods can but an 801 lasts me 5 or 6 hours heavy vaping - longer if I vape light and they don't look like drug paraphenalia. Hopefully they'll improve the technology so you don't need a monstrosity to get a good quality product.

I'm actually a big fan of mods. They just seem to perform much better for me. However, I would hesitate to suggest a mod to a new vaper, as I think it's a good idea for them to try vaping on a regular e-cig to see if vaping is something they really want to do, before shelling out a lot of money on mods.

I have 2 Little Chucks but I also have 15 working 510s. The 510 is an excellent cig. The only draw back is the battery life but if you have this many at one time if a battery dies I just pick up another. When I get 5-6 dead batteries I take them to the charger. I still have 10 units fully charged at all times. This is much easier than having to put a battery on charge and then switching out every time one dies. I really don't like the way the mod looks and never use it in public. Just starting out I would get a 510 again. It seems to produce as much vapor and TH as the mod and is much cheaper.
