anywhere my broomstick takes me
Hi everybody..

Just wanted to let ya'll know what ive done eh? (mods, if im in the wrong place, then please move)

being the wiccan that i am, i grow many herbs in my garden and make various tincture's for many differ reasons..

well, this time I thought why not make my own mint flavor ejuice?

Soooo, I happen to grow alot of mint in my garden out back...spearmint, peppermint, etc..

anyhoo, I picked some fresh spearmint from my garden 1 week ago, a really big handful..

I rinsed it off with cool water from the kitchen sink, then took a paper towl and patted dry the mint..

I then took my morter and pestel and placed the mint in the bowl..I gently bruised the leaves as i wanted to release the mint goodness, know what i mean? I gently bruised the leaves to let loose the aroma, while keeping the leaves whole, intact..

anyway, I took a brown glass bottle and forced the leaves into said bottle..the leaves put the bottle at half full..half full of mint leaves..

Then...I used my unflavored nic juice, pg/vg mix at 36 mgs and filled the bottle of mint leaves with said nic juice..

I let the bottle sit in a cool dark closet for a week, and at various times of the day, i would shake my tincture..

as of today, i took a dropper full of said nic juice and dropped a few drops into my penstyle cart..

( keep in mind, that my tincture turned green due to the mint leaves, but no biggy eh?)

My starzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz, im a happy ole witch lol..:D.

its not like the menthol you would taste in a analog..

its way differ...it has a clean minty taste, sooooooo tasty to vape...

anyhoo, i just wanted to share what i did, as there might be other wiccans, or happy gardners, or others who might wish to have clean minty experience eh?

bright blessings to one and all

and a most happy summer solstice!

I can see mint leaves working pretty well. Even orange & lemon rind working too.

I doubt you'd get a good result with the flesh of a fruit. As long as the pectin and other sugars did not clog the atty, it seems unlikely to have enough of the components in high enough concentration to have much of a taste in vape. If you can spare the atty, it would be an interesting experiment.

A good plum vape would be sooo nice though.

The oils in citris rinds and mint leaves seem the most logical route.

Be sure to let us know what happens.

Great to see people experimenting with natural ingredients!

I wouldnt see much of a problem with the apple.. just make sure you dont let it sit too long as it will most probably rot very quickly in the nic.

Great work, let us know what else you try! :)

I grow catnip =^..^=

Im kinda wondering what the cat nip might taste like? lol

My backyard looks like a jungle, so many plants and fruits and herbs..

I will keep ya'll updated on my experiments lol

eta, i wonder what honeysuckle vape would taste like? lol

One of my strongest childhood memories is of shooing bees away to get at the honeysuckle to enjoy the those drops of golden juice myself.

Interesting idea.

as a child, my granny would ask me to hang the laundry to dry, but some how, i would drop the basket, run to fence to enjoy the honeysuckle lol:laugh:

I betcha it would take tons of honeysuckles flowers to get enuff of that golden juice for extract..:D

Hmmm.... Ima, you got me thinking... Lavender, Chamomile, and a wee bit of Peppermint makes a very nice relaxing evening tea, and so i wonder if it would make a nice relaxing evening vape. :D My lavender is no where near ready, and I have no peppermint or chamomile... would you be in a position to be able try this out?

I have had similar thoughts, and done some reading around the forum. Many have referred to using alcohol to do the extraction (grain or vodka), however you seem to have only used PG/VG.
This is my question;
Since you are just going for flavor, is the PG/VG enough?

The thread I read about using alcohol seemed to be geared more towards getting nic out of some existing tobacco products (snus, or something like that).

Is the alcohol necessary to get the actual nic out, or was this just a preference?

If you just followed the OP technique would you end up with the tobacco flavor, or nic, or both?

Thanks in advance for the replies!

your so right, it does make a relaxing tea...i always add bit of honey to my chamomile tea, lavender tea..

I have lavender plant, tho it it hasnt flowered yet? but the branches are full, green and looking very happy and smell awsome!!!!!

I had chamomile, but I let my chickens run loose in the backyard last week, and the lil sweethearts, ate and tackled my chamomile plant..

If i can bring the left over chamomile back to life, i may just give it a whirl, lavender, chamomile, peppermint..sounds like interesting, jmo

I wonder tho, when drnking lavender tea, it has a flowery taste( even w/ honey added) ..

I wonder if the vape would taste flowery as well?

..

Ill go ahead and pick some lavender, let it dry out.. in my greenhouse,,then next week, ill soak some in my unflavored ejuice and let ya know what i think?

eta, while i was out watering the yard, i picked huge amounts of honeysuckle...its now drying in the greenhouse..next week, il soak it in my unflavored ejuice and let ya'll know what i think?

(over the last 25 yrs i have made many a tincture, some where i used alcohol, but these tinctures were not made with the intention to vape eh? some were for spells, or some tinctures were made to be consumed as per health related issues etc..)

I didnt have to extract any nic..so the pg/vg nicotine ejuice i felt was enuff...

you see, i had placed a order with chris at myfreedomsmokes.com..

I bought a half gallon of unflavored nicotine ejuice at 36 mgs..chris had sent me several brown bottles of nicotine ejuice with a pg/vg base..my bottles from chris were pre mixed for me..

i simply used my unflavored nic ejuice and added that to the bottle of mint leaves..after sitting for over a week, i had mint ejuice to vape on?

I am aware of reading of how people extract nic from cigs and from snuff using alcohol, but ive never doen such a thing..

I hope i made sense ? my old brain has brain farts some times lol
