Magic Coil wire/Bakero wire Trying to figure this out

So there is a thread in the new members forum about this "bakero" wire that is creating massive clouds of vapor which untill recently is unheard of. I'm trying to figure out what it is because the guy selling it won't tell anyone what exactly it is. I have it narrowed down to a kanthal product that is either alkrothal ribbon wire or nikrothal ribbon wire. I'm thinking it's alkrothal 14 which is hard to get in the U.S. but easy to get in PH where this seller is from. Nikrothal however seems to just be nicrome made by kanthal. Has anyone tried either of these in ribbon form? If so what sizes did you use and what is the vape like.

I read through the "Bakero" thread this morning. Call me a cynic, but it looked to me like a sales pitch, by a guy who is looking for an exclusive on selling the wire.

Oh yeah he's def out to make some money but I do think that he's using something we all overlooked that just vapes really efficiently, i just wish I knew what it was. It's a shame people like that are out there, I always loved vaping because of how helpful the community is. I am determined to figure it out though (if it exists in a safe form) cause I refuse to buy wire off someone who won't let anyone know what the chemical makeup of it is.

I doubt that he's stumbled onto something everyone else has overlooked. There are lots of people using ribbon wire in various gauges. There are also lots of people making "stunt" videos, blowing out big clouds of vapor. Big air hole, 100%VG, low ohms, crazy high wattage, proper lighting. But I agree. I wouldn't buy any wire where the supplier isn't revealing the material.

i agree with rule, lol make a .5 ohm coil on a 3mm wick and run it at 3-4 volts in a humid room and watch the clouds go rolling. there are several posts with people running ribbon wire and say they see almost no difference in performance.

I'd try it myself and see if there really is some difference. Btw, all that the guy selling it said was truly just pure advocacy of his product since there are already people targeting his means of sale of this wire. I'm gonna ask some guys around here and see if they have heard or known this wire, and if it really is something, the pros here will know it then.

after scanning a few videos and web searches they wont show the wire, the wick or tell what the juice, how its set up the wattage etc etc.

I noticed that too.. and the only person who doesn't come across like a shill for dude trying to sell it, seems to be continuing some sort of "i'm calling you out on this BS" carried over from a Filipino forum... and the responses seem to imply that what we're suspecting is in fact the case.

and anyone who stumbles upon a new way to do things is more then happy to share every little detail because they know everyone will be happy to return the favor and keep them out of stock for passing it on.

I think the OP of that thread didn't seem to be affiliated with the seller of the wire. What I do know is that the guy who sells it is using the thread to increase his sale of his unknown wire.

I question that too though -- you did notice the part in the thread where the OP of it was working with ziggy to become the US 'source' for the wire, right? Thats the point when I started questioning the entire thread -- it all seemed too convenient.

Quick review of the whole situation up til now:

Dude joins a week before that thread starts, and is talking about coils at .002 ohms -- obviously this is going to draw attention, cuz NO ONE is using a .002 ohm coil and retaining their fingers. Simple as that.

He spends a day arguing that he knows he's right, then provides a video of him and his '.002 ohm coil' blowing clouds of vape -- exactly as Thrasher described above. Lighting aimed into the field of view, black background, big plumes. More or less ends that thread.

Fast forward a week or so, he 'suddenly finds' this new thing and starts a thread on it. He begins the sweeping searching and getting people in a frenzy about it -- linking videos and potential sources... suddenly comes in the guy who's vending it in the first place. Within a few posts, the 'vendor' is talking about OP becoming his US partner.

The whole thing stinks of fish to me.

It seems, generally, in this community if a major discovery like that is made its shared to benefit all of vaping. Look at information like the Petar K method, or Scubabatdan's ceramic wick making, etc.

I also know that his reason for hiding information is because this wire is already largely available somewhere else, then he uses his reasoning of a "special wire" to persuade people that this is something different.

This kind of marketing is largely seen locally as we are a 3rd world country and poverty is something most people here are trying to expel from themselves when they discover something and would not share this information. I did it once, when I discovered that I could mix my own juices without telling some of my friends that were very new to vaping, so I thought i could make money out of it. I just then shared it because this information wanted to get out of me.

I'm still not convinced though -- the timing just seems too convenient. If you read through the OP's .002 ohm thread, it VERY much sounds like he's 'playing ignorance' because it plays into the 'i'm just a naive person looking for the best' impression that would work well for initial sales. It just all comes across as a ploy to get more attention in.

I do agree completely on why the vendor isn't telling... and I also have a feeling that the whole process isn't on the up-and-up. I'll be happy to be proven wrong, but it just all sounds too convenient to me when you look at what the total posting history of the OP is.
