magma a disappointment

Flavor is amazing on the magma IF you have the right build. IMO, the magma was made for dual vertical coils since the airflow travels directly through the coil rather than under it. It also leaks like crazy if you don't use dual verticals because of the way the deck is designed. Like others have mentioned; .2 is way too hot for it. I would say .6 or above is where you should be at.

Thank-you all! I am traveling, but the USPS says I have my first Magma in my mailbox. I will get it tomorrow night.

I was hoping that it would be a flavor-focused RDA.

Good thoughts...

I'd say the veritas is more flavor focused than the magma is.
The magma's key differences are easy of build and deep deep juice well. and no orings.

Si I got my magma in the mail today, and thus far it is rather disappointing. Built my usual .2 duals and am getting less flavor than I was out of my mutation x. I'm not ready to give up after one build, but would like to know if anyone has any pointers on how to best build this little guy to get some good flavor. Outside of the muted flavor i'm experiencing, I really like this atty.
I've tried sooo many rdas.... I want dense vape and flavor cape but can't find the right mix.
Everything I try I always go back to the magma for during the day. my two best performing builds are 26g 2.5 mnemonic diameter dual coil at a 0.6 Or 24g 3mm dual coil at a 0.4
Both builds I put through coil about 2mm above through air hole and I wick with Japanese cotton.

I wound up going with the Veritas simply because of reviews that said it was leak resistant and I'm tickled to death with it. But for the folks that have the means and skill to do it, there's a couple of ways to make the Magma more leak resistant.

Wow! Cool post, I've never seen that before! However, I still think dual verticals are the way to go with the magma. Try it out and see for yourself, you might be surprised like I was. The magma has the best flavor out of all my RDAs I have but I still haven't tried the Vertex V2 which I hear great things about.

I was in the same boat with the magma HATED IT!! To me, if an atty's airflow is tight, it cant be saved. This can be reversed via drilling, but the magma is solid chunk of steel, not really worth the trouble. If it had true 3mm airholes, like its advertised sometimes, it would probably be great. But 2mm holes that whistle are not a great vapor/ flavor delivery system.

I bought it from my local b&m and promptly returned it the next day. I exchanged it for a plume veil which I am very very very happy with. The plumey is now my all day atty and the magma has been relegated to the trash can of my vape history. I just couldnt get past the tightness, it was marginally better than my kayfun.
