im eyeing this one:

now that i see brass and copper AFC ones, i think id rather have the accent. just hoping the colored ring ones are as good as the SS.

I'm not that big on RDAs... I have several: Helios, TOBH, Nimbus...
But I have had the FT Copper Magma for a couple of weeks now and...
For me it is just amazing. Every thing was straight, holes etc, and nothing loose. Very easy to build and the airflow is just fine for me (I like the middle holes for lung hits).
Cap threads are extremely smooth and when you tighten down the ring it stays put. As with any real copper Item it (the air hole ring)is very high maintenance if you want to keep it shiny. I have yet to polish it and it looks like a worn penny...but that is fine with me...sort of a steam punkish vibe. You could make it look like new in probably 30 seconds with a small wad of neverdull.
Anyway, great piece got me back to RDAs again.

Well back to report to ya'll. I currently have it at 1.06, had the thing at 1.00 when first built but the dry burn shot it up :(. Anyways, it's a much better vape but it takes a couple seconds to cook the juice up.

Edit:
After the first hit, it starts cooking up a lot quicker and the taste is phenomenal so if you can get over the first hit, it's amazing.
P.S. this is single coil.

I like to chain vape as well and I did recently get a Magma and the first build on it was at around 1.0 ohms (dual coil) and i did like it. Nice flavor nice vapor. Then i dropped it to like 0.4 - 0.5 and to me it was way too hot a vape even with the largest air holes which got me thinking that these guys are crazy for going that low; in terms of the temp of the vape (not safety). Maybe I still have to graduate into the sub-ohm club and acquire a taste for a warmer vape but it is just too much for me ATM. Apparently I prefer a cooler vape experience. I still have a lot of playing around with it to do to get it dialed in for my tastes.
Too hot because there is not enough airflow stock. You can easily subohm and have a cool vape if you have the correct airflow and wicking set up.

Agreed, and the common sense to buy the right RDA for sub-ohm vaping. Magma is not designed for or intended for ultra low ohm use.
.7-.8ohm seems to be the lowest Good quality Vape you can pull off.
Nice thing is Magma works from .7ohm to nearing 2ohms. (device dependent)

That's .7- .8 ohms total meaning say two 1.5 ohm coils correct? Mine is due to arrive from fastech any day now (just left NY)

anyone got any experience with the FT magmas? the 1:1 SS clone was in my cart and i know that ones been reported as good, but now that i see brass and copper AFC ones, i think id rather have the accent. just hoping the colored ring ones are as good as the SS.

The 1:1 SS has been great, I modified the long 510 screw and base so it sits close to flush on my Cloupor DNA 30 and love it. I am running dual 30g @ 1.5ohm and it is working good. I normally run single around 1.2-1.5 ohm and will throw a single in to compare.

That is correct, yes.

I use a 28 ga. Kanthal A-1 wrapped 11 times around a 5/64" drill bit. The said reads 1.6 ohms. Two of these with yield a 0.8 ohm set-up, which works perfect for me.

Usually, for microcoils, 10 wraps is my limit, but I didn't want to move up in size on the drill bit.

My coil winder sells similar coils 28 guage 1.5 ohm.. I just received my magma clone and tried it out tonight and man I am impressed. This without a doubt the best dripper for the mount the air-holes under the coils take away any advantage in my opinion that the KFL had as far as flavor. And the flavor on the magma just beats the KFL because there are 2 bottom air holes. In the The magma I see the KLF to have much influence on the design of the Magma but improvements making the Mahma the better rebuildable for flavor.

The fasttech magma 1:1 clones are all great.
EXCEPT the $12.51 model, which does NOT have the domed shaped chamber inside the cap.
That one has a cheezy square top shape inside the chamber, and no way it could produce the flavor the magma is famous for.

I see so many posts about Magma RDA with long 510 connectors that don't sit flush on non adjustable Mods..does the Infinate clone Magma have a regular length 510 that will sit flush on a Provari ?
What adjustments can be made if the 510 is the longer type ?

I got my Magma from FT and it was one of the long 510 version. I took it apart and used a sanding disk and HOLDER to sand the negative part of the 510 and reassembled then sanded the positive screw down so it would fit on my cloupor DNA 30. It worked great and sits not 100% flush but almost. I could have made it fit flush but I didn't want to have to file the slot for the positive screw and you can barely tell.
