You know I remember a review for a clone that had the posts angled in, it was fixed in later atomizers, perhaps the plastic is dual purpose, insulator and assembly wedge? Mine is wicked and full ATM.

P.S I notice the FT version doesn't appear to have the dome top cap either. Is this one of their 1:! clones?

Yes, perhaps it is dual purpose which is why I asked; if it's just physically sitting there and not stuck with some sort of glue, then I'd just take it out with a pliers, knowing that I could put it back in.

But if it is stuck or otherwise integrated into the base of the device then I don't want to wreck the thing unnecessarily.

Just got home from work and ripped open my Infinite "Lava" as they now call it (finally they took the logos off and threw it in an Infinite CLT box). Threw my standard 29ga 8/7 wraps 2mm at 1.5 ohms.. Holy crap now I see what the big deal is!! Bought a bottle of some 6mg green apple for it and BAM!! FLAAAAAAAVOR!!! A bit harder to get the coil in than my KFLs, so I gotta practice bending the legs, my coils kinda warped at the ends but it rocking!! I've actually got the Vamo up to 19w and its nothing like the hot winds of death my Kayfuns put out over 12w!! Maybe I'll finally get to hit the 40w mark haha!

You'll find with proper airflow, lower ohm builds are not as hot. Try dual coils :)
Yeah that's next haha! My Vamo only fires down to 0.8 (but some say only 1.0) so I gotta make some big 10 wrap coils to keep it around there..

Weird thing is happening now though.. It was at 1.5, started dry hitting so I opened it and redripped, now the coils bouncing between 1.7 and 1.8?? It just made the voltage ramp up so I had to back down to 16w. Checked the 510 it ain't moving, and its definitely screwed on tight to the Vamo..

Hmm just took a couple rips before hitting post, now its gurgling like a flooded tank and dropped down to 1.6?????

Ensure all of your connections are tight. The Vamo is not the best ohm reader imo.

Tried twisted 24g, 6 wraps 1/8th bit...too hot, not dense enough...will twist 25 tomorrow and try. :)

Yeah apparently the posts loosened and the coil was flopping around heh. Had a hell of a time getting one installed without totally mangling it last night. My Kayfuns I can do perfectly in my sleep but this thing takes some work at bending the legs. Ended up snapping the legs off one just by tightening the posts! Final attempt was a twisted 29ga, 10 wraps, 3/32", 1.2 ohms.. That one seems to be staying together nicely.

Hi everyone, I just got a Magma and vaping it on an ego-twist vv until I find something more sexy. What kind of battery should I get? I don't like a box mod and would prefer a built in battery that I wouldn't have to take out for charging. Something with variable voltage/wattage. I hardly ever go below 1.5 ohms. Thanks in advance for any opinions/ suggestions

i used 24 gauge kanthal (i believe), got it around 0.9 ohm (single coil), on my stingray it vapes as a champ :vapor:
Only in the beginning i tried dual coils, but they didn't seemed to succeed (read: vape sucked or one coil wouldn't light up as well as the other). So i went for single coil and have been so satisfied with it, that i didnt felt the reason to go dual. Might try again one of these days.

P.S. i got the FT clone, one of the post is a bit crooked and somehow hotspots are created (very rarely) around that post. I just put some cotton on it and its all good :) Magma has been one of the best - if not THE best - vaping experience i have had, both in terms of flavor (unbeatable) and vape/th (though i think some RDA's might beat that).

There is one HUGE con on the magma though....once you vape on it, every other atty seems unworthy :p Tried switching back to Taifun GT but it didn't satisfied me anymore lol.

I agree. I've tried several dual coil builds on my Magmas and I keep coming back to single 26G 8 wrap 1 ohm, 1mm above the air hole. I can't detect any flavor difference and a single coil takes less trouble to rewick when I want to change flavors.

I got a Holmes, N22, and a Lancia because they share the Magma's bottom airflow design. They give exactly the same flavor and vape experience as the Magma for me. The Holmes is my favorite because it holds so much more juice and can go bigger on airflow. You have to plug one air hole with cotton or a bottom pin from an Aspire BVC coil to run the Holmes in single mode.

The Lethal and Rouge RDAs are basically a Magma built upside down with the airflow coming from the top. I actually find them easier to use because the don't leak out of the air holes the way a Magma can. The give similar flavor, but you have to make sure the coils are built high up enough to be close to the air holes. The Lethal runs great in single coil mode and can open up for a lot more airflow than the Magma.

hi guys, where can I get the Magma? I can't find it online:(

A quick google search brought up a couple of sites that have them (although I have never heard of them/purchased from them before). Got a clone from my local B&M and it works splendidly and is well machined. Plus it is $80 cheaper than the authentic.
