MAJOR failure tonight. Help me figure this out.

I prefer sweat coffee type flavors, and thats what got me off the band wagon, but its sort of getting old and I keep wanting to smoke and i think its because the flavor is getting boring. I wanted to get into the sweet fruity flavors, but every one I tried just didnt have alot of flavor. Tasted like drinking watered down cool aide. So i ordered 500 ml of PG, and some PG 60mg nicotine, and a TON of Flavor Apprentice flavors from RTS vapes.

Followed the directions i found online and WOW that stuff sucked. First batch i missed a number and mixed rasberry at 20 percent. Started over at 10 percent, and it still tasted like crap. Throat hit was incredibly harsh, and after the inhale no vapor came out. Tried over with some sweet tart flavor and same thing. I dont know what i am doing wrong. Should i be making this with VG instead?

Go to the DIY forum and read all the stickies, there is a ton of info in there. After that check out some of the blogs by some of the DIY gurus (Str8V8ping and Hoosiers I found very helpfull).
VG will give you more vapor but it sounds like there are some other issues going on. Str8V8ping has a very good tutorial in his blog on determining flavoring percentage.
Don't give up, like anything else, it has a learning curve, but the result is very satisfying.

Seriously, READ THE STICKIES!! They're there for your safety and contain lots of good and necessary information.

Since you bought TFA flavors, search out threads specifically about TFA and read them to get recommendations as to what percentages to use for what flavorings. Take into account that the PG/VG proportion can make a big difference. 70/30 is probably the most common, I prefer 50/50 and others prefer even higher VG proportions.

Also, many flavors need to steep - they don't taste good immediately after being mixed. Personally I think every juice - yes, even simple fruity ones - benefit from steeping at least a day (or a hot water bath).

If you got ry4 double from tpa, try it at about 8-10% it's good on its own, but I've been putting about 2-4% graham cracker(tpa clear) in with it also. It's got a nice sweet taste you might like as well. I get pg based nic and used vg for the base. I dilute the vg to thin it out with diluted water. Usually around 2-5% diluted water in my mix. Usp grade glycerine will help just make sure it's usp grade
