Good Morning/Day/Evening all from Mrs. M and myself! :) Man has it been gorgeous this week. Not too hot, just enough sun to keep it bright and a sense of happiness that you cannot buy.

Yard, the Mrs and I love your prose and thanks for all the beautiful pictures and snapshots of the lives you all are enjoying. I know it's very cliche' but it is oh so true that no person who has friends is poor. Some things you just can't buy and I am blessed to have a wealth of those things.

I used to hear the "elders" tell me as I was coming up to take a moment to stop and smell the roses or some similar expression. It is amazing how in a few short years, those "silly" expressions turn into pearls of wisdom. We are promised nothing, not even today but enjoy it while you have it.

Even in a crazy world such as we live in with so many cares and worries, there is always a reason to be thankful. We just have to take a moment sometimes to recognize it. Have a great day all! :)

My Friend that is wisdom in every sense of every word. Anyone who can say "I have good Friends" can truly say they are wealthy beyond belief. I can say this and you can as well my Friend.

Sincerely;

Good Morning Major! Good Morning Mrs. Major!

Your last post was heartfelt and philosophical; a wonderful commentary. Hopefully the healing will continue and you both will be lifted up, soothed, and renewed.

I hope you both are well enough to be able to get out of the house, even if only for a short walk, and get some fresh sea air!

I'll keep the nutty, goofy, philosophical, poetic, newsy, personal, positive, and tenacious attitude to hold up my end of the bargain!:)

*Good Day Major and Mrs Major* ... 'pearls of wisdom' indeed. .'stop to smell the roses'... 'being thankful' ..and 'having friends'
These things all mean so much ..I am so happy things seem to be going well for you and your wife. I want to wish you a wonderful day. Another day to be thankful for. Thank you for your post..as always it is so very inspiring as you have such a way with words. It seems to come naturally to you. Take good care and I hope things keep on improving for your wife*

Good Morning Major and Mrs Major!

" In order that I may be skilled in discerning what is good, in order that I may understand the path to peace,

Let me be able, upright, and straightforward, of good speech, gentle, and free from pride;

Let me be contented, easily satisfied, having few duties, living simply, of controlled senses, prudent, without pride and without attachment to nation, race, or other groups.

Let me not do the slightest thing for which the wise might rebuke me. Instead let me think:

“May all beings be well and safe, may they be at ease.

Whatever living beings there may be, whether moving or standing still, without exception, whether large, great, middling, or small, whether tiny or substantial,

Whether seen or unseen, whether living near or far,

Born or unborn; may all beings be happy.

Let none deceive or despise another anywhere. Let none wish harm to another, in anger or in hate.”

Just as a mother would guard her child, her only child, with her own life, even so let me cultivate a boundless mind for all beings in the world.

Let me cultivate a boundless love for all beings in the world, above, below, and across, unhindered, without ill will or enmity.

Standing, walking, seated, or lying down, free from torpor, let me as far as possible fix my attention on this recollection. This, they say, is the divine life right here."

Good Morning Major! Good Morning Mrs.!

What a lovely thing it is to be able to post to this thread on this fine morning. How mysterious and enigmatic are the ways of lives and the way they interwine, wind, and unwind. We all share but moments in the present but these moments are unique and never repeated again; how blessed we all are.

The introspective previous posts by ByeByeCoffinNails Priorites, Fanky, and many others, only support this. Wonderful, meaningful, deep and rich thoughts and emotions splayed across the ether to us in our distant lands, that all seem to share a common theme; the love of life!

"Teach me to feel another's woe. To hide the fault I see: that the mercy I show to others; that mercy also show to me."

-Alexander Pope

Thank you all for such an enriching, thought provoking, positive and supportive thread. I for one feel more uplifted every time I read or post here.
