Major issue with titrating a couple of flavors.

Ok guys here is my issue. I am making a couple of flavors and i ran into a problem. While trying to titrate I added my my eliquid to the bromothymol and it didn't turn blue. I was confused to i assumed i forgot to add nic. So I added nic again it turned blue and tested it out to a 6 nic. But, when I tasted it it hit like a 12.

So I went back to redo the flavor making sure I added the proper amount of nic base. It still didnt turn blue. Now I was perplexed. So I took my nic base and put 1 drop in my bromothymol. Instantly it turned blue. But when I put a drop of flavor in it turned back to yellow.

I need to figure out how to test and get this right otherwise i will have to do a reverse math and add flavor after.

Testing a mix is not advisable. There designed to test NIC solution not a prepared mix

I've done it, when i had some ejuice sitting around that wasn't marked, and I had no idea what nic level it was -- but it was a very pale ejuice, so it didn't mess up the test too much. If there's much color in the juice, yeah, testing it would be very unreliable.

instead of going drop-wise, which is largely dependent on the vg/pg content of your juice/nic, try using a 1ml syringe and testing out how much bromothymol it takes to turn blue. it may be a bit more expensive, but in a lab setup, this is done with 1ml diluted to ~10 or 100ml, and then titrated so that there is a more precise reading as to what your nic levels are. let me know how it goes!
