This is new for me. Never had this issue before. I have a rubbery carto tank version from valley vapes. I prefer it over others because most hurt my fingers to get tops and bottoms off. I'm having an issue of MASSIVE leaking here. I can barly get a good vape, wasting a lot of juice. I've changed the grommets, I've changed cartos a couple of times. Bigger holes punched, smaller holes punched. Still leaking. Help?? Have you run into this issue? What did you do to fix it? I have another tank just like it which does not leak at all.

I'm assuming that juice is leaking out of the bottom of the carto. Is it one of their tanks with the silicone grommets and side screw? One possibility is that you've got an air leak somewhere. That is almost always my problem when I seem to get a string of cartos that leak out of the bottom. I make my own tanks using syringes, so when that happens I make new 'grommets' and a new plug and the problem is always solved. For me, air getting into the tank is the problem 100% of the time if it happens to more than one carto in a row.

Get a Slap Yo Mama tank tool from Big Daddy Vapor - For the love of vapin'. It makes it very very easy to refill your carto tanks without leaking everywhere, and it saves wear and tear on your o-rings.

I can fill my carto tank with the tank tool in under a minute, with zero strain or agitation.

They also make very nice carto tanks with a great seal on them.

I've had several of these over the last year. Grommets generally hold well to the carto and tank. Seems the leak is thru the bottom of the carto?? Should be easy fix, or give up on the mysterious leaky tank and get another.

    - holes to large?

    -Too many holes.

-punched the carto yourself and they're too deep and gone into the core of the carto or

    - You have the dent from the carto hole down in the grommet area (probably not this, grommets usually will seal anyways)

    -you're overfilling to start/prime

-you're unnecessarily dripping into the top of the carto

-if you have a sidefill screw, it may not be tight enough/sealing well. Some places use a tiny grommet on the screw.

    - you can try vaping from the carto Out of the tank to discern whether it's the carto or the tank.

When you come back tonite- post something and then hang out a bit, you'll get quicker/more answers tonite because we're subscribed to this thread now.

Things we need to know- The Pg/Vg level of your juice- how many holes punched- what type of carto(smktech tend to leak easier than Boges)- Factory or punched at home?- how do you prime your cartos?

Above all- don't sweat this- it's just a carto tank problem.

One of the reasons I changed from carto tanks was the leaking factor. I like to keep my Provari in my jeans pocket. Any sliding around of the tank on the carto and the "seal" between the carto and the tank eventually begins to degrade.

Vivi Nova is about equal to a carto in my opinion. I've also ordered a Kanger T3 that should be here today. Most say the Kanger beats the Vivi Nova. We'll see. My experience has been that the Vivi Nova mini 2ml tank is rock solid and is just about leakproof.

Thank You!!!!! I will defiantly try your suggestions. I think it might be an air issue and I'm going to try to find a spare screw(for the side) and see if that helps. Sometimes it's just though the carto end, occasional it seems just coming out carto and grommet.

For those curious, as mentioned Valley View tanks, the one in particular was this --> 3ml Polypropylene Tank

The black silicone rings on a carto tank work just fine as long as they can't slide. When they slide, juice gets under the rings and leaking occurs. That's why I like cartos with a ridge at the bottom to stop downward slide and a tank with a cap that prevents sliding in the other direction. The definitive answer for me was the Vivi and Kanger style that does away with the carto.

Last night I had my Vivi Nova mini on my Provari while driving. I tend to park it under my leg between vapes. Every once in a while I will forget it's there and slide out of my truck and it hits the pavement. That happened last night and the tank broke apart from the connector. I thought it was trashed until I got it in the house and examined it. There's a snap connection with a silicone gasket involved. I washed it out and snapped it back together. Works fine and no leaks. The mechanical design of the Vivi Nova is brilliant in that respect, but the Kanger T3 has much better flavor with its bottom coil design.
