Hey everyone! I am going to make some drip tips for personal use. I have my blanks, my lathe, my sandpaper, everything but the cores. I can not find them to save my life! I'd love to find delrin friction fit ones but even metal would do. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Also, if anyone makes drip tips and has scrap acrylic they'd like to sell for me to practice with, hit me up. Thanks!

Not sure exactly what you're asking beattysgirl. I think you have wood blanks, a wood lathe and want to use metal cores for your DT's, but please correct me if I got that wrong :)

If that's the case you're going to have to turn the cores yourself, or have a machine shop turn some up for you.

You can get bar stock (round) in almost any material including SS and all kinds of plastics. If you have a metal lathe those materials will be all you require.

You can also make solid DT's in a variety of materials and finishes.

Best of luck with it :thumb:

Chipotle.
Misunderstood the question, now that I re-read I see you're looking for essentially a sleeve to go inside the bore of the tip. They're made by numerous places, there was even a thread on this forum with a pretty in-depth look at making some. One of the places I found right away was this one.
- DIY Drip Tip Core
at $10 per they can be a little pricey but for what you get they're not bad, dual o-ring and multiple styles.

If you need another source for cheap outside color blanks, you can use pen blanks and get a good number of tips from them, some blanks like this work VERY well and are reasonably priced
- Exotic long length pen blanks in Acrylic
