Making juice Q

Down the line I am sure I well attempt making my own juice. My Q is on the flavorings, what flavoring can be used, I ask because I am a baker and have access to tons of pure extracts I use in baking. Can these be used or are there special characteristics flavorings must have to vape well.

Also if you could point me in the direction of a good vendor for quality nicotine liquid and flavorings I could use.

Candy flavorings are good. Diyflavorshack, onestopdiy are 2 that I have used. I also buy from a local Chocolate shop. Don't use any flavorings that contain oil or sugars! That will clog your atties/cartos.
Oh, for nico, both those places, and RTS have that. Also Good Prophets is having a very good sale!

I just got into DIY. I bought 24mg 100% PG liquid, PG and VG from MyFreedomSmokes They have tons of options available on quantity and PG VG ratios of nico liquid.

I got my flavors from One Stop DIY Shop . they had a good deal on sample packs of flavors. The ones I got were pure PG. Other flavors are mixes of PG/VG and some have alcohol. I was going for a 80/20 PG/VG mix to keep it thin for cartomizers, and not clog them quickly.

I have used food flavoring I get from walmart, as long as they are not oil or sugar based, as 36tinybells said. I get 50mg unflavored PG nic and mix with USP VG I also get from walmart, Humco brand, but I heard they sell VG at Micheal's in the baking section, but being a baker you may have access to something.

Fox, the flavorings you use in cooking have a lot of alcohol in them. You will not like the throat sensation if you vape grain alcohol.

Just take my word for it.

Like balth said, dont use flavorings that are oil or sugar based. Also try not to use flavorigs that have sediments in th bc they generally clog up attys and cartos quicker.

Check out BluMist vapor. I think they are a really good vendor to get stud when our just starting DIY. They have everything you need and really cheap prices. I use their DIY stuff and really like it. I got a 60mg/ml bottle of nicotine that was 120ml, but they also sell 100mg/ml and lower too. You can also pick if you want the base to be PG or VG. I use PG based bc I make most of my juices around 80/20 PG/VG.
Download a juice calculator and put in a few things you like to make and it will help you decide if you should get PG or VG base nicotine. I use the EJuice Me Up calculator and it works great.
They also sell USP grade PG and VG 120ml bottles for $4, which is one of the best deals I found for that size.
They also sell the flavoring for every juice they make. They have over 250+ premade juices and250+ flavorings for DIY.
Their flavorings are only $3 so you can get a bunch to make different things.
And then they also sell different size empty dropper bottles to make the juice in, and different syringes to use.
I recommend using a syringe when measuring, especially for the nicotine. Dropper bottles arnt very accurate an if your using a high mg nic liquid and cutting it down it needs to be accurate or that can be very dangerous

BlueMist has great stuff and you could get everything you need at one place and not have to pay shipping at multiple places.

Hi Fox, in response to your question about using the pure extracts you have access to at work, I wanted to show you a warning that is attached to some of the flavors found on the Flavourart site; "This flavor contains Diacetyl and/or related diketones. Not suitable for vaping." Flavourart produces food flavoring and, I assume though I am certainly no expert, that this may be similar to what you can get. I would take a little time to explore the characteristics and qualities of each flavor before trying to vape it to make sure that it does not contain these chemicals or compounds which I believe are mostly found in the grain/cheese/dairy flavors. Again, I am not really qualified to talk at length about this but, your question brought it to mind and I thought I would pass it on to you.

Yeah most do have quite a bit of alcohol, I was just wondering if such a small amount in the mix ratio would matter.
I'll do more research and find out what is the best to use. Thank you all for the links and info, I have to say making my own sounds like a fun project.

The flavorings we use are also used in making cakes and candy so it's likely you'll have some that you can use. Check the ingredients like mentioned above. As far as diacetyl, none of the US flavoring manufacturers are allowed by the FDA to use diacetyl if I remember correctly. But do your research and have fun with DIY, you'll love it!!
