Hi Guys,

Sorry if this has been covered too many times but I just wanted to make sure I get what I need to get started ASAP.

I'm looking to get 2 sets of e-cig's for my sister and I. We both currently smoke a pack a day.

I've set my mind on the 510 starter kit from midwestvapor.com

Other than the starter kit, what else should I order? and from where?

Thanks!
Amit

I'm brand new myself, but I wish I had ordered an extra battery or two. One in my set wasn't working (came with two), Tony at Modern Vapor shipped a new one out to me right away (he's awesome), but I'm running on one battery right now until Monday (and its hard not to smoke that analog when my sidesho is charging!) Also, if you're going to be trying a bunch of flavors like me, get a few extra attys. That way you don't have menthol on the atty while you're wanting to try black cherry. (I just clean my stuff up at night so everything is dry by morning.) I'm sure that there's lots of people on here with more experience who can give you better advice, but they were my two biggies.

The only other thing you'll need is juice. The kit should come with some prefilled carts but not enough to last for more than a couple of days. It's much cheaper to order juice and refill those carts than to buy new prefilled ones. Plus you can try different flavors and find what you like best. Most people try to replicate smoking at first but that changes quickly once you try some of the wonderful flavors that make vaping even better.

Juices vary in price and in quality. It's like the difference between fast food or a five-star restaurant. Here is a link to e-Liquid Reviews that I suggest you read through.

Feel free to ask questions and post your experience with vaping. Good luck!!!!

Added: The 510 is the most popular model for getting off analogs.

The 510 is the best to start with, and if your in the midwest you are very close to the ladies at Cignot. Cignot your Midwest Electronic Cigarette store. << check it out, I'd recommend their no-box $35 510 kit, and a bottle of juice to get you started. Cignot has some of the best customer service I've ever experienced on the internet, and many folks feel the same. Good Luck!

I am new too. I bought a starter kit from Cignot and an extra long battery, some extra atomizers, extra cartridges and 3 juices. If there are 2 of you, then buy 2 starter kits and some extra supplies you can share.

The long batteries will last almost all day for me and then I have the 2 that came with the kit to use while the long one is recharging.

I don't know if the 2 regular batteries are enough to last one day so I wouldn't just buy one kit to share.

I made a mistake when I purchased and got 2 tobacco flavored and just one 'fun' flavor. I wish I had purchased just 1 tobacco flavor and 2 fun flavors.

You can't beat the $35/kit from Cignot. And they are great in customer service too. I had a 'problem' with my charger a couple weeks ago and emailed them on a Sunday. Terri emailed me back within minutes to let me know how to clean the charger connection. It worked and haven't had a bit of trouble since. That is above and beyond....

HOpe this helps some.

Welcome to ECF!

I am a noob to the e-cig world. lol. I just ordered my starter kit from the same company you mentioned and can hardly wait til it gets here. I've been an analog smoker x 30 yrs!! OMG it doesn't seem that long, but true. Of course my doc is on me to quit smoking but after several tries to quit, I came across this forum and with all the great info, it's SWEET!!! So am now waiting (is it here yet?) patiently.. for my kit.

all of this advice is great advice. I just started too (4 days ago) and I wish I had this advice first. I bought the 510 kit with 2atty's, 2batty's, 5carts, charger...I wish I had purchased extra atty's, extra batts and juice in a couple of non-tobacco flavor (I hear RY4 is yummy) and maybe even a whole different kind of e-cig just to switch it up now and then. The point is that I wasn't sure that I was going to love it and I didn't want to waste my money on yet another NRT. Boy, was I wrong!

Here's my advice to anyone who's trying to decide if they want to try vaping:

#1. It absolutely works, no joke.
#2. Stock up! You'll wish you had.
#3. Order a variety of flavors (I never thought I would want to "smoke" something that tasted "funny" like cola or apples, but I do...
