OK guys - I read this story too - and you know what - it all seems a bit exaggerated to me. I mean, the guy loses ALL his teeth and part of his tongue...then somehow the battery shoots like a rocket across the room and sets the closet on fire? And on the way to the closet - the battery also set the pictures and the rugs on fire? C'mon guys - we all know that we need to be careful with batteries and that this could happen - but I smell a rat here....I'm just saying....

"I also mention that impurities such as antifreeze have been found in some samples. Then I let the patient decide." That line... Seriously, beating a dead horse on that matter.

Anyways, I'd like to know what gear he was using, and how reputable said vendor he got it from was. I don't feel the need to be alarmist, but you know how the government with a profit based agenda is.

Realistically, batteries do "scare" me to some extent, but think about it... Batteries are in cell phones, laptops, etc, and there is inherent risk in that, but you don't see regulatory structures trying to outlaw them. My 2p on the matter.
