Here's something I've been working on. Its a new design for a stealth mod. Uses a 18490 batt and has the DNA12. I used a potentiometer that you can easily turn with your fingers so no need for a screwdriver. If you guys are interested in something like this I can build some more.

I like my box mods big and bulky. But it's a good looking device all the same. :)

Here's a silly question. On the battery door of my MCM there's a round sticker stuck to it. Looks like wanna those little velcro thingamajigs. What's it purpose?

The velcro circle helps keep the battery snug and not rattle any. Its real hard to make the mods sized absolutely perfect for the battery without a CNC machine. But I am piecing together a CNC machine, so when all that come into fruition you can expect some more sweet mods. :)

Ooohhhh, that makes perfect sense now. I was thinking you use it to keep the door stationary while applying clear coat. Your reason makes far more sense. :)

I now know how pretty your mods are when made by hand. I can only imagine how stunning they will be when done on a CNC. Very nice!

That mod is a cutie! Not sure I have seen that type of battery tho.

On another note.......

I got my batteries!!!! :D:D:D:D:D:p:p:p:eek::eek::eek::beer::beer:

It's going to be so nice to cook thanksgiving dinner without worrying about my batteries running out on me! Or a misplaced mod, I bet I loose my zmax at least once a day. I doubt I will loose this beast!

That's one I havent used in a while. I love the smell of Bocote being cut. And it is a great looking wood. I'll pick up some Bocote soon too.

The smell kind of reminds me of pickles;-) It has some very nice grain I have bowie knife a friend made for me with a bocote handle.

So I got my new battery charger and finally fully charged my batteries and am now enjoying the full vaping bliss of my mod

However I am not quite comfortable with it. I sort of feel like I have gone from driving a street car to a race car with nitrous!! :)
I am sort of scared to touch anything...

Hey mat, is there a reason u would not use a 18350 in that small mod?

I could use an 18350 in the dna12 mod. I've built a few of those. But the nice metal button wont fit with all the other electronics. The fire button would have to be a tactile switch, the same buttons used as the up/down on the DNA20 mods.

Just so you guys know, I wont be building too many mods during the winter months. The amount of propane I use to heat my garage is crazy. It's getting too expensive to be out there building stuff. It's not too bad yet, but soon I will have to take a break for a bit. :( ..... until I can insulate and get electric heat.

As handy as you are I am surprised you have not looked into passive solar heating. Depends, of course on your buildings and window orientation to the southern sun. But there are lots of designs available on the internet. Pretty cheap build in most cases. Insulation helps in any event.

Nice pot belly stove always an option. Should be lots of wood to cut for free in Colorado. But then we are all just impatient customers. Time spent indoors with the family is a good excuse and should be utilized often! :)

I've been insulating the garage little by little. I have about half of it finished. Once I get everything sealed up I'm going to put a 220v heater in there. It should be much more efficient than the propane heater I have. I've thought about building a little wood burner, but then all my mod building time would be spend cutting down trees and running a log splitter. It's just a slow moving project right now. This time of year is hard to spend money on stuff like this. :)
