Also as for batteries, Evolv recommends only to use high drain / imr batteries. batteries have to be capable of at least a 5amp discharge. As far as i know, protected batteries are generally around the 3amp range for discharge. If the protection circuit fails in one of those it could be bad news. AW imr's have a 5amp discharge rate where the panasonic cgr18650ch batteries have a 10amp discharge rate. I recommend the panasonics.

In that case I'll stop using the Protected batteries. Thanks for the tip matador!

Zee, thank you so much for doing a video review. You just made my day. :)

As for the battery issue, I only use the panasonic cgr18650's so I had no idea the AW's were a loose fit. Thanks for pointing that out.

Awesome review, thank you!

No worries man, I just had to post a review since I love the mod so much. I could always use a magnet spacer to make the AW IMR's fit more snug on the mod, but honestly they work just fine and once closed there is no worries.

Thanks for such a great mod!! LOVE IT!!

Matt sorry, I'm very camera shy so I won't do any video review. But if you're ok with it, I'll just post a link here to the review on the French forum.
Actually - I always say it - I'm not able to do reviews, but I've promised to open a dedicated thread to your mods, which are pretty unknown to us up there in France.
I so much think you deserve it! I'm planning to do it by the end of the week, I'll keep you updated if you wish.

Oh and thank you for the info info about the batteries. People keep saying VW devices are not getting the best out of protected batteries, but if it's just about the battery life, then no biggies :)

Matador, this site says that the IC batteries have discharge limit of 5.2 Amps.

AW 18650 Protected 2600 mAh Rechargeable Lithium Battery

Is there a way we can check directly from the AW site? I can't find their site or official info from them.

:) It's an "old" DCT model by a French modder who's not on the marketplace anymore. Was sold with a large + small tube, and the latter meant to be used with punched atties. Now that mini cartomizers are being sold (like rejuvenators), I'm using these and they fit perfectly.
Though, any regular Dual Cartomizer Tank can be cut out to that length to be used this way, I believe!

Thanks all! Hay Zeesmoker I was in Bahrain several years ago wed go over there on the weekends when I was working in Dhahran SA

Buzz that's cool. I spent 9 years in Khobar working for Siemens (Siemens Global Website). After that I spent 2 years working for a much smaller company and then finally decided to have a try at my own business so I moved to Bahrain and am just starting up my business.

Who did you used to work for?

I was in Aramco Dhahran for 5 years in the Engineering Building, then we moved to West Park 3. Those were the good old days :)

Glad you enjoyed your time there. People have the wrong impression about the middle east. Not everyone is a terrorist and nor does everyone harbor ill will towards the west. A vast majority of the people are just people and trying to make ends meet like everywhere in the world. But as usual it has more than it's share of nutters!!
