The AW IMR's will work. They are rated at 10amp max output which is well over the 7amp max required by the DNA20. If you are wanting to vape at 20watts you should get the AW IMR 1600mah. They have a real low internal resistance and are capable of sustaining 20W with the DNA20. If you are looking for a good all around battery, I like the Panasonic CGR's, and other people here have suggested the Panasonic NCR's as well.
I have been thinking about bottom feeders, but I've never built one before. I will try to do a few to see how it goes but it will be next year sometime.
MCM DNA20 bottom feeder would be AWESOME!!!!! YES!!! Woot! I know what I'm saving my Christmas cash for! ;-) But a single 18650 ... Or even a 18490 size would be super! The smaller and more hand friendly/comfy/compact size is what I'd love!

I think I can handle that! I have several sets of 18650's that have always been used in pairs; I hate to break them up. They need a mod. Any idea what the price'll be?
A dual 26650 bottom feeder with a 30 ml bottle! A bottom feeder and regular 510 all in one you can have your bottom fed rba and your kayfun all in the same mod at the same time;-)
a 18650 with the 510 coming off the side at a angle and the screen in the top
a 26650 with a fire button on every side then you can vape it no matter how you pick it up
Here's a question for the Matador. Have you even done any of your lovely mods with a customer requested connection? Meaning if I wanted one with a slightly recessed 801 connection and it was a guaranteed sale, would you consider it? If not no biggie, I've just always wanted a device with a dedicated 801 connection. Simply because 801 fusions are basically all I use and they look sorta silly on everything.
the next MCM should be a big, small, heavy ,stealth, regulated, mechanical, Tube box , telescoping, 510, 801, side activated bottom button, e-pipe, bottom feeder, that is capable of handling SUB high voltage If you can cover all of that Mat Id go 50$ ;-)
Looks like I may be in luck. I have two AW IMR 1600 18650 batteries to play with.
If I may chime in, check out Samsung INR18650-20R's (2Ah, flat top) as well.. Those are the best batteries I've ever found for my self-built DNA20 mod, I'm sure you won't be disappointed.
Are there any instructions for mcm ? Besides taking care of the wood? How are the 510 connecters? Do u need to use an adapter to save the threads?
What about the ohm range? How low can we go?

Ive never blown out threads, but it is very difficult to change out the connector without breaking the mod. Using an adapter would definitely save the threads.
As for what the DNA20 will handle, it will do 1ohm to 3.3ohms. here is the data sheet.

I got in the habit of using adaptors when I had a couple Darwins. With their brass connection it was highly advised to use an adapter. I've just continued to do so on my box mods regardless because it just seems to me if one does enough swapping of "toppers" eventually the threads would get a bit loose/"sloppy" or just worn out.

I'd have to do some measurements. Or at least look into how a standard 801 connection looks on a mod. It may not even need to be recessed at all. I would just absolutely be in love with a mod that allowed an 801 to be screwed down virtually flush.
Or I could send you wanna my tanks with 801 in it & you could tinker around with it. Lord knows I've got plenty of spare tanks & 801's.
