I too found a MCM in my mailbox when I got home from work last night. Can't seem to put this thing down! :D

What is the overall size of these MCMs with the DNA20?

Cool, thanks for the measurements, guys. :)

I read through your thread with the mod you are building. You have some great ideas. If your DNA20 didn't break you would have a nice 1st mod. I'll try to dig up some pictures of my first wood mod. It was an ugly beast, but it worked. Im glad to see more people build their own mods, its a lot of fun. Good luck!

Thanks, Matador. I've been an admirer of your mods for quite a while now. I'd love to see your first one! You're right that it's a lot of fun (once you remember it's supposed to be fun and get over the setbacks along the way).

Brandon offered to replace the DNA20D, so I'll be rolling again soon. Yippee!

Matt - Just dropping you a note to say that after a week of using the MCM, it's definitely my favorite device! My poor ProVari, which was so well loved for a year, is getting rather jealous lately.

Here's hoping that you find time in the future to make more mods, because you absolutely have a genuine talent for it!

Hey just dropping a line to let you know a friend of mine who is a wood worker said that the mcm was put together extremely well. He was exceptionally impressed with how snug the door was and your use of polyester resin to make a clear window for the DNA. Just thought I would pass on the compliment.

So how is the move going? Hope everything is going as planned.

The move is going slow... We moved in with my mother in law for the time being. Im pre-approved for a mortgage, so all thats left is finding a house. We've decided on moving to Denver because the houses are fairly cheap. Just have to find something that fits us and in a good neighborhood. Things are moving along for us, slowly but surely.

That's great news for those that missed out; sometimes I think I enjoy my (your) Mini more than my (your) DNA20 mod.

:)

Hope the house hunting is going well, and that you (and your family) is enjoying the change of climate.

Billy, im glad you enjoy the mini. These are a little different, im not using a tactile for the fire switch anymore. I found some real nice metal buttons with screw terminals, smaller buttons than the one used on the upgraded MCM20.

The house hunt is over, hopefully. I have to drive out to colorado friday to meet with the building inspector. And if everything goes well then I have a new house.

Also great news (the part about the house hunt hopefully being over).

Unlike your previous DNA20 sale, where I was honorable and allowed others to grab what might be the last you made, I think I'm gonna want to buy one of the upcoming Mini-with-a-new-button mods this time. The dual 18650 DNA20 is also still working great, and is a refined monster.

Want to reveal a little about what wood(s) are in this Mini batch?

There's 3 mini's im working on. The woods are:

Brazilian Ebony / MarbleWood

Brazilian Ebony / PurpleHeart

Brazilian Ebony / Cocobolo <--- This will be the very last time I use Cocobolo, Im highly allergic to the dust.
