I made a drip/bottomfeeder rba in under an hour for less than $5. Y'all are on your own with this buy.

I am sure someone could stick a bottle on a 5 dollar box mod and say the same thing about my REO.

None the less, the cost of this is about what I would of spent on 15ish attys. This is actually my one year smoke free gift to myself.

Rather than a sealed connector, I used one out of a carto. I positioned the +&- so the wick stands vertical, directly above the air tube of the connector, so when attached to a bottomfeeder, as one draws, the liquid goes straight into the wick. Voila!

Mine is by no means as attractive (it's actually not ugly- it looks good IMO) or machined from scratch, but it IS 97% less-expensive than this thing.

As for the contention that the cost of this is equal to 15 regular atties (and you would have spent it anyway)- I can buy alot of other things for the $145 that I saved and I still have something that I'm proud of building and is as functional as its $150 cousin.

I applaud the ingenuity of those who have the time to tinker and build their own. I don't have the time right now, and want something I can rely on every day, so I bought one. Same reason I bought REO's.

I think your right since the ERA has been available in the Phillipines for quite awile now but looks like a decent device just wish it was priced a little better

For $150 I'm not sure it's worth my money. I tend to change out my atomizers/cartos quicker than most. 3 weeks on an atomizer, 5 days for a carto.

5 days carto 365/5=73 cartos per year.
$1.49 (super shorty carto from avid vapor)
$1.49*73 = $108.77

3 Week Atomizer
365/21(days) = 17 atomizers per year
$8.99 (avid vapor bridgeless)
$8.99*17 = $152.83

1 year of vaping before paying for it compared to atomizers.
A little less than 1.5 years on cartos.

It looks cool and I'd jump on it for $100 just to have a cool looking add-on but right now...meh.

The build your own thing that someone posted seems great and I might give that a try. Nice find

I hate to trash mark bugs but 150? That's hijacking the price big time, if I where to sell goby I made I wouldn't go higher that 80 and that's pushing it too. It does what every other atty does, vapes the juice. You have ody which does way more than the chalice and it's 25 less. Hopefully he will lower the price because I don't see many people buying it. It's way too much for a rebuildables IMO.

I willingly pay extra for my dodge trucks because I know them to be the best I expect the same of the chalice I also have another bottom feeding rebuildable on the way so i can compare at least these 2 I we will see. I do expect this to be a good solid atty and if so for being a new unit I would expect to see a high price if it takes off yes hopefully the price comes down but who knows maybe then it will mean them being built in china possibly with poor quality stainless. Or worse maybe lead lined ????

Yeah but dodge trucks have their plusses from other trucks. Different engineering, and entirely different base, engine suspension than that from s Chevy or ford. Both attys are ss, both attys bottom feed, both have screw posts, and most importantly both work on our reos, I'm not saying the chalise will be a pos because its not, it'd just a hundred dollars more for the name of the maker, china market doesn't even belong in thus league if rebuildables they should stick to their 510s and egos. I'm a machinist and can guarantee you no more than 30 bucks to make, maybe even less. Especially sincebthey are doing a big run ofbproduction cost is lower, basically whet I'm getting at is that the reo ville has gotten no love in the rebuilable realm and now because there is one, screw it lets overpriice it for these people? Just not a good thing to do to customers,

I have to agree on the price being too high for me. It looks great and reports are that it works great too. More power to them if they sell a lot at this price but I can't personally justify it. Hoping to see more competition in this space to bring prices down like the ERA. Time will tell.

I'm on the "it's pretty, but too expensive to justify it" side of the fence here. I'll be happy with my ERA from the coop going on now. Also, Scubabatdan is still saying he wants to build his BFG (bottom feeder genesis) so it looks like competition is coming in a hurry. It's a good time to be a Reonaut!

My Chalice is just fantastic. I've sort of neglected my Reos as of late in favor of a Provari with a Vivi Nova with rebuilt heads. Personally, I was just sick and tired of paying for premium attys that I could not get to last more than a week. I'm now happily vaping myself into a coma with my Grand and Chalice. Its seriously the best vape I've ever had. That being said, I do think its over priced, but I was at a point where I was willing to pay anything to get away from regular attys and still use my Reos. Had I known about the ERA before the Chalice, I would have gotten it first. At least now we have some choice. I don't regret purchasing the Chalice, but I did order 3 ERAs for just a bit more than what I paid for the 1 Chalice. Hopefully those perform just as well.

I tried the chalice today and I liked it...I didn't get one, but my husband did. I'm holding off until our ERAs come in. It's very nicely machined...a credit to the maker for sure. The draw is just a hair tighter than "airy"...but it's comfortable. I prefer airy draws.
