when i first read this i thought; hah, a negative comment; pessimistic.
But actually it reflects how I have come to view my quest for the best gear, and how possibly there are a couple of ways, besides "ooh shiny; I want it," to look at this mod and its functionality.
1. quality of vape; how is the draw, the vapor production, the flavor?
2. rebuildable; obvious value of having a mod, an atty, that will virtually last forever.
But for a price; I figure most assembled, quality mods like this are over $100. When you figure in the durable nature of the mod, it can pay for itself to a degree, not to mention resale value. Fabricated mods are expensive to produce for a limited market, so the cost is justified as far as what you pay for.
My concern is: #1. vape quality: when i see these mods on video's, all that vapor coming of an exploded version of an atomizer coil just does something to the fiend in me; I want all that vapor; funneled into a little d/t. But that can be deceiving.
I bought an iatty, to use on a VV without the air control function of the GG pv and although the volume of vapor was great, and low resistance and high voltage didn't affect the taste, the draw was too airy for my taste.
There are some great new conventional atomizers out now; disposable, low life expectancy; but for say $120 plus shipping, you are talking a hell of a lot of atomizers; that's a lot of vaping, and just the way i like it.
In many many cases, $120 for a great vaping isn't too much; either way; a rebuildable, or a ton of attys.
IMO these expensive atomizers HAVE TO BE GREAT to vape; really great; just the way i like it, or I won't use it. It'll be on the classys immediately.
I think for me it comes down to "draw"... not too airy; tons of vapor but just the right amount of tightness on the draw.
I wonder why when i first saw it, I assumed it was perfect... i think it's that projection thing; we believe it before we really see it. We want to believe it.
I guess i'm better off waiting to see the reviews.
Really looking forward to peoples reactions to actually using one of these beauties, to see if they vape as stunningly as they look. I understand the time and cost to perfect something like this but it can not justify gambling a buck fifty on a possible paper weight. I really am rooting for its success though. Interest would really peak if a bottom feeder version could be developed, I really love my Reo Mini.
