Hi guys, TC noob here. I recently started playing with 28 gauge Ti Grade 1 wire on various attys, using a 9 wrap single coil coming in around 0.55 ohms. This is on an ipv D2 set to run Ti wire. I read somewhere that we weren't supposed to use Ti wire above 350F so I've kept it at that limit but the vape has been a bit too cool. And if I get it around 24w, I keep getting a temp protected message. Not a very good vape. (And yes, I set the resistance when the atty is cold).

So I've been looking through a whole bunch of Ti wire threads trying to figure out how high i can set the temp but and haven't been able to get a straight answer for that. Anyone want to chime in?

TIA

Whoever said you have to keep it at 350F is an idiot. What I think happened is people were talking about using Ti wire on Ni only mods. In order to do that you have to drop the temp down about 100°. But the IPV D2 handles Ti natively, so that doesn't apply.

You can turn your temp up all the way to 500+ on Ti without fear.
