back when I was in middle school, they briefly spent [like maybe a day] went over how government worked. That was about 20 years...ah geesh...where has the time gone...
1. 100% of the Democrats in congress and 65% of the Republicans damn near lost their minds trying to "stop Trump" and now they are all of a sudden going to all back him? Really?
Thats just not realistic.

2. We have 3 branches of government.
All 3 must agree to pass laws.

Checks
And
Balances.

3. Executive orders have ZERO power.
They mean nothing. US presidents do not have that authority. They cannot make a law.

4. Writing bills that become law, is soley the job of Congress, not the office of the president.

Dont they still teach this in middle school?
Do some of you really not understand how our government works?

That explains alot.
30 years ago we had citizenship and American Government classes that educated us about law and government in the eighth grade.
It was a required class.
Things have obviously changed alot.
Lol.

Our system works great every single time when people follow the rules and do their jobs.

I was thinking about sticking it on the i3, cause I like 1.5-1.8 on the cricket and the coil is 1.2, but if the ramp up time is slow, then it might be ok on the cricket.
I have heard that those noisy crickets are real beasts! Sounds like it can handle a big coil like that.

If I had it to do over again I'd just buy a 20 acre lot in the desert ($168mo)and park an old RV on it!
Our friends have a big piece of property down in Winlock in the Southern part of the state close to Oregon, and they just put a container on it! He spends a lot of time there and we camp there all summer long. They had a trailer but they are really digging the container. Got it all fixed up and put a queen-sized bed in it. Eventually they will build an actual house on it but she still works (she's my hairdresser) and they have their house up here. It's a pretty sweet deal, though. There's a river, woods, a field, sun, shade... everything you would want. We already told them to let us know if they find another great deal on a container and we will rent space from them. :D

This is the most divided election cycle we have ever had.....this was bound to happen regardless of who won. (But remember, only Trump supporters are violent  )

Don't go through the bank, go through a licensed realtor...they make their money through commission, so are generally more driven to get things done, and can show you homes before approval

Our realtor works only with buyers, and that was awesome! He was 100% invested in us, not both sides.

Am disgusted today...just watched a video from a friends' grandsons school..."build that wall" chant going while kids get pushed...had another friend from KS call crying... 8 year old boys have started the "trump grab" on little girls. WTH???
WTH!!! That's horrible! I have a friend who kept her kids home from school yesterday because their school is very diverse and her kids were really upset that some of their friends will have to leave the country. I feel so bad for the kids right now. They are caught in the crossfire.

A lot of the stuff he said he's gonna do I'm just sitting here shaking my head..yeah good luck with all that buddy, have fun wasting everyone's time
That's exactly it. He has zero political background. He's in for a very rude awakening if he thinks he will be able to pull of even a fraction of the stuff he's vowed to do. It just isn't going to happen. There are reasons things are done the way they are. I do hope he focuses on fixing healthcare and learning the ropes before he tries to tackle stuff he doesn't understand.

My oldest son is gay! He's scared too!
Guys, the president can't do anything on his own, he has to have approval from congress and then the supreme court has to agree that the law is just.
Exactly! Unfortunately, there were no changes in the balance of power (unless the house pulled ahead in the Democratic vote) so we have a completely Republican top tier. Still, a lot of those Republicans are not going to allow Trump to go rogue. I hope.

I support all peacefull protests.
It is our right to peacefully assemble.
It is our right to speak out against our government.
I support our constitutional rights.
All of them.

That said,
Knowledge is power and the key to not living in fear.
Most fear is from a lack of understanding.

There is alot of un needed fear being promoted to the masses who lack understanding in order to push an agenda.

I'm sorry if this offends anyone.

When did Americans become such pussies! Too damn many people getting their feelings hurt! We have rights! If we don't use our rights, we will lose our rights!
I think a lot of it stems from the whole electoral vote thing. Our votes used to count, and now it feels like it doesn't matter how we vote individually because it all comes down to the electoral vote. I said last election that we need to be much more focused on who we elect at the state level to represent us, and I still think that's true. I think we can do a lot more as a state than we can as a country, you know? Just look at Arizona. They choose to do things the way their citizens want and now how the federal government tells them to do it. We should be more like Arizona!
