was wondering if the idea of making some of the woodvilles with the same design as the aluminum mods appeals to anyone else?

i personally love the idea of a wooden reo, with the mechanical switch ive fallen in love with on my grand

I'm a HUGE fan of the mechanical factor. It's my favorite thing about the metal REOs.

There is nothing quite like the security of using a mod that doesn't have wires to fry out. Simple to use, clean, maintain and maintenence. I know I could never use any other mod no matter how flashy it is. Metal reo's are lori proof

I have built a mechanical switch for a wood mod. I am not sure how many people would jump on the idea.I kept the button on the side like it is though.

Love the simplicity of my mini and Grande that and the durability only reasons I've waited to get a woody that and there never in stock

I personally find that the button placement is perfect. I've become VERY accustomed with it. Since, if the button wasn't in the place that it is now then it wouldn't be mechanical anymore. Which takes a lot of the convenience and durability away from the aircraft aluminum REO's.

I like the button on the top of the Grand and Mini. Not only is it the optimal placement mechanically, but I don't have to worry about it firing when I put it in a pocket in my purse.

You could make a wood box to slide the grand into ....

I have already begun playing with this .I have a pro to type 18490 I will be sending Scott just to see how well it holds up to daily vaping

Very cool! I know some of the automotive guys put a clear-coat finish over the graphics that allows for scratches to be buffed out, etc.

I hope it works out it will be a nice way to take a old beat up mod and make it brand new. I have hundreds of grand doors and mini doors just sitting on a shelf it would be nice to make use of them .A clear coat is a must I cant wait to mess with some of the new prints there still in route

Ya...those are more difficult to predict. So many are damaged going through the process, that he never knows if he'll have extras or not. The ones he is referring to are those not fit to sell as they are.

I believe Rob has lots of doors that aren't up to his specs for selling them. defects from handling, anodizing etc.
